So today Nintendo announced that the company will start distributing software Development Tools for the WiiU for FREE, for both Japan and America 

   Nintendo is doing this because they feel this will help with the '' no games '' problem, and maybe people will actually buy their console.

Do you personally think this will help them in sales?

I can only guess that this'll mean more indies, but what are the criteria for getting such tools?

More indies....you know they'd ought to know by now that indies can just be more VC releases.

of course its still in its early life cycle....

yeah...though the vita is portable which gives it a pass in getting so much indie games then the WII U

Hell no that's not going to help. I don't remember any indie developer creating assassin's creed, call of duty, borderlands, god of war, or gears of war?? Those are system sellers. Journey (although a great gem of a game) is not a system seller. It's a great find for someone who already has a ps3.
