Yes, obviosuly someone who has little to no knowledge of a topic is obviously going to have a greater appreciation then someone who's spent the time to carefully study the techniques used and understand the labors the artist and engineers have had to go through. That makes perfect sense.

This happens with every single console out there. The first year has some good/okay looking games, then the last few have some incredible looking games. Stop pining Nintendo studios down as "not trying." because they probably are.

95 times out of a 100 = the "flashier" the games is the more time we watch then actually play the game ourselves

Wii U's main graphical disadvantage is the lack of a proper 3D Mario or Metroid.
I really love Nintendo, but with the Wii U hardware I don`t think anybody can push something much better than what we saw in Xbox 360 and PS3. I hope I`m wrong.

Problem is Retro were given a game that will never really be pushed graphically. They need to have full freedom to create a real 3D game.

Retro chose to work on DK over Metroid because their DK game sold more than any of their Metroid Prime games...

Well, I don't know what to tell you then, except that I guess we agree to disagree.

But in my own personal estimation, even those early graphics look just fine.
