Remove the one review that gave 85 to UC2 (the only one lower than 89 lol) and you have a 97 metacritic.

N4G alone lists around 220 from what I counted haha.

Some sites decided to rate the last of us harshly, i'm sorry, but anything lower then a 90 is just wrong

There will come a time when I'll play this game.

For the same reason that I read the Da Vinci Code and the Millenium trilogy.
Those two books got way more praise than they deserved.

The same I expect from Tlou.

True. There still are about 20 games above The Last of Us on aggregate scores, like Half Life, Ocarina of Time, Sould Calibur, GTA, Super Mario Galaxy 2, The Orange Box etc.

Anyway... It is an excellent game. Scores deserved (in my opinion). Everyone should try it.

it was a great game and it definitely wasnt perfect but if its just a simple checklist .  gameplay in some instances would knock it down a few points.  hell and the ending was stupid even my niece watch me finish and was like huh

after doing some killing and finally getting to happy ville

she ask if everything he said was true

he says yeah

she says ok

my reason for owning the playstation always.  but damn gta v holy sims with criminals bat man.  i just wonder how tight the liesure excursions are golf, tennis, f__n hunting O.O.  and the crazy part where the characters are living their lives  doing stuff when youre not playing.  makes me think about the cloud with bigger worlds alot of things accesible like state of decay, and the people in world living without you.

Personally I wouldnt have GTA 4, Skyrim or Mass Effect 2 on there.....But thats just the way they reviewed :P

To bad GTA V or Watch DOgs will end up as game of the year though.
