poor Atelier i guess taking the traditional jrpg root didn't help

I'm beginning to wonder whether it has had the opposite effect of alienating some of the original fanbase.

I hope not.  It looks very good and feedback seems to be extremely positive.  I'm playing Atelier Ayesha at the moment and it's a very solid entry imo, so I don't think it's been people put off my the series either.

Just wonder if it's series fatigue by this point.  A game a year for 5 years.

I dont think it was alienating the fanbase since you can still play the traditional atelier style adding another playable character was meant to attract new gamers into the series, but for some reason they were just not interested. Anyways i think this game got less hype compared to Ayesha so Its probably just series fatigue.

Bet with gooch_destroyer, he wins if FFX and FFX-2 will be at $40 each for the vita. I win if it dont

WOW, lets see if toukiden can keep it up! What does it have that Soul Sacrifice didn't?

Anyone know when Gundam breaker is coming to Vita?

teigaga on 13 July 2013

With FFX HD, Gundam Breaker, God Eater 2, Legend of Heroes and Project J-star all on the way, its safe to say the Vita will have a successful Q3/4 in japan. I'd love to see Tearaway succeed in japan too.

Now it just needs more exclusives.

A more generic design by the looks of things, unfortunately.

Mass appeal?

Soul Sacrifice was never going to be huge and it's art style + mature content cemented that. It still did well, but it's easy to see why one did better than the other.

Vita > 3DS

All Sony needs to do now is release a Vita XL in order to go after that market love oversized handhelds.

lol, can't tell whether you're joking or not, but the 3DS XL exists because the original 3DS is tiny.

The Vita and 3DS XL are pretty much the same size, Vita's screen still trumps it though.
