Forums - Sony - Gamestop forced by demand caps PS4 preorders

Sony told them to make their availability for preorders open and 'unlimited' but Gamestop was forced to cap the preorders.

Its looking like the PS4 is going to be sold out for a good long while at Gamestop come November.

Nope, just that Gamestop was forced to cap the preorders. They cant take anymore, apparently.

Good now people can go pre order the Xbox One instead lol. Joking aside I'm sure pre orders will re open soon either that or you can pre order from the multitude of other retailers (Amazon, WalMart, Best Buy etc...)

The Wii U had half a million preorders at Gamestop...

 

Then again, look how that turned out. PS4 doomed confirmed...

My GameStop, alone, had about 156. Manager told me it's their highest ever for console pre-orders. 


My guess would be in the hundreds of thousands as well, but i would think once they hit a million they would cap the preorders.  I wouldn't dare preorder my PS4 from Best Buy, thats going to be hell first day because they can hold more PS4's than Gamestop.
