In Europe?

Hahaha, no.

No chance at all.

The 360 had literally everything going for it this generation. It had a huge price advantage. It had tge good 3rd party games. It had over a Year headstart, with 2 Holiday seasons.

It got outsold.

The One has a price disadvantage. It doesnt have a headstart. It wont be going up against a console that devs hate.

Its going to get destroyed in Europe, quite easily. America has more chance of a 50/50 split.

If my social circle is any indication it will be utterly destroyed in Europe by the PS4 when it comes to marketshare. Sofar every single person I spoke to will buy the PS4 even all the 360 owners.

But who knows what will happen if MS has the games and the price it might turn around again. Right now I feel there is overwhelming negativity surrounding the xbox.

People seem to think that the reason Xbox 360 did so well in the USA was because of some sort of patriotic sense of duty to buy American but really, it was just a great console. All signs currently point to PS4 being the more powerful hardware with a more consumer friendly price so I think PS4 wins. The main reason PS3 didn't win North America was because it sucked at first, came out a year later, and really showed no improvement over the cheaper Xbox 360. Looks like Sony has none of those issues this time.

NO

imo X1 might not even win NA as you state and about those exclusives there not even out to judge, a few are probably timed, and its all individual gamers opinion on which console has better exclusives, but id go with sony b/c of the sheer amount and diversity of each other

I find it funny how Xbox defenders forget that Europe is called Sony land.

The only reason things were slower with the PS3 was because of the high price. But, the PS3 now leads in europe and it costs 250 euros. What does that tell you?

Anyone believing the xbox one has a fighting chance outside of the US this gen is either living under a rock or ignoring the mass of polls and opinions in heavy favor of ps4, even in the US the xbox one is going to struggle to be a contender.

You can disagree if you want but be warned in a years time when the results are in i'll dig this thread up from the grave and make a new thread aimed specifically to laugh at you.

Or... they're not ready to make a snap judgement when each system is still several months away from launch?

snap judgements based on info flowing about both systems for the past 6 months?? for systems potentially as low as 3 months away from release?, could it be that the vast majority made 'snap judgements' or that a small minority are simply unable or unwilling to accept that Sony will dominate this coming generation?

microsoft had all the advantages they could want, a year to a year and a half (in some regions) headstart, much cheaper system, better multiplat games in most cases, better pr, better media support, better developer opinion (easier to xode for) and competition from a console which was the opposite of all those things, and even with such a wide advantage its now dead last in sales, it took several years sure, but it happened, and were going into this next generation with things basically set like they were for the PS2, anyone thinking the xbox one has a chance is lying to themselves.

I'd also like to add that what youre going to see is mass defection from previous xbox supporters in the age range of 10-25 as their friends/workmates/uni mates etc side with PS4 and peer pressure of not wanting to be the 'stupid guy that paid more for a slower console' will come in to play much as was the case with the xbox360 generation, people bought what their friends bought, and thats how its going to be with ps4, i predict a 30/70 split in sales with ps4 leading, ending in a 20/80 split

b.bb..but microsoft might sell it cheaper with tv packages..for peoppe to use!

yeah and potentially murder their attach rate when many of them dont use it for games or simply sign up for the package and sell the system on ebay.

A wise man would never rule anything completely out, but the truth is at this point -- from my vantage point.

There isn't a chance in hell. Europe is as Pro Sony as North America was Pro 360 this past generation. Japan will completely side with Sony. Most of Microsoft's innovative 'features' are relevant only within North America, which will further spurn potential customers.

With a cheaper entry cost and easy transition into the PS4 and terrific late generation hit PS3 games that people will be begging for sequels for, on the PS4, I don't see it ever happening. The XB1 'could' still win North America.

They will never win worldwide without a significant game advatange and if anything this generation proved that point categorically.

The better games you mention are all opinions, Xbone could win world wide but it wont happen until 2015 at the earliest.

All these polls are moot: 8th gen winner has already been determined and is not subject to change, Ouya.
