Sell the entire Xbox Brand and Microsoft Studios to Sony. Heheheh.

Take away Xbox Live and Halo...and there kind of isn't anything else Sony would need.

LOL that was a good one :)

Nothing, they are already offering a superior next gen package in my eyes, though not for the price. But Xbone will most certainly be the first next-gen console I purchase. Titanfall day one.

Sony just has no interesting games and no interesting new features that sets PS4 apart from the PS3 at all imho.

That

The thing I don't get with everyone saying remove kinect are the same people that will just say well now its the same price as the ps4 and its weaker so they still lose. So why would ms listen to them?

MS isn't listening to them because MS never listens until they are driven to the brink of failure. MS was planning on ignoring us before as Yusuf said before in defending DRM, but they don't care then neither do I. Give me the games, MS as a company isn't that great with consumers. Knowing Microsofts mentality, they know most people wouldn't buy the Kinect two at launch so they more than likely force bundled it so the MS faithful will buy it. The casuals are those of whom the Kinect is meant for and they will not buy a $500 console, let alone a $400 console if it doesn't fit their lifestyle. Sony knows they cannot force the PSEye on people and they never have since 2004 when they started the camera motion control trend.

Bold #1 - Yet we are months away from launch and they have already changed the policy? Wouldn't "driven to the brink of failure" be something like oh I don't know, launching the console and potentially reaching a point near failure? MS actually listened to people and changed their policy.

Bold #2 - Aaahahahaha. That might be the most adorable thing you have ever said on this site to trump up Sony. Bravo. Ok, lets pretend you are right. Since Sony supposedly started this trend in 2004 (actually 2003), can you list the slew of camera motion control devices that flooded the market as a result? I mean, since it's a trend and all, there must be other people following suit. I can't remember a single one.

I've never owned an Xbox before, so technically they can't even win me back. But as long as their major advertized IP's stay GoW, Halo and Forza I won't ever buy an Xbox.

You make -0 sense. Just spare some characters and say that you don't like MS and Xbox brand.

You make no sense. Just because their 1st party IP's don't appeal to me I'm suddenly a MS hater? Do you know how ridiculous you sound?

Release better exclusives than the competition and they already do that, so I am fine.

I'm honestly curious, this is not to pick on you, but what do you see in Microsoft's exclusives, because I don't see much.  Ryse looks like the blandest combat ever, with nothing but quick time events, Killer Instinct is not up to par with current gen fighting games like Injustice and Mortal Kombat.  We don't know much about Quantum Break or Sunset Overdrive so can't say much about those.  Crimson Dragon looks awsome I will give you that.  I don't see anything in Forza 5 that distinguishes it from other racers, and Titanfall is not an exclusive.  With Sony I feel they have announced a balanced line up of exclusives, with a good variety of generes, and they said they still have more to announce, I don't think Mirosoft has anything left.  inFamous Second Son looks so awsome, I loved the first two and  this one looks like a lot of fun, Drive Club has that soial feature so I guess that helps it stand out from other racers, but I'm still waiting to see more from that game.  Always good to see new platformer ips like Knack.  I'm inbetween on Killzone Shadow Fall, it looks amazing graphics wise, but still waiting for it to wow me, and too early to say anything on The Order 1866.

At the end of the day, it is all about taste anyway. So this is IMO.

Ryse looks to have great visuals. The gameplay was dumped down for the E3 show, so it remains to be seen how this might turn out at the end. And I love the setting. I hope they keep it that way. Sure it is fictional, but don't include Dragons or giant enemy crabs in this game. Lions / Tigers in the Colosseum are welcom though.

Dead Rising 3 looks very promising. I played DR1 and thought it was a fun game, but it could be so much better. Now it looks like they really improved the concept.

Halo is the best gaming franchise I have ever played. Period.

Quantum Break is made by Remedy (nuff said) and the combination of a TV series and gaming sounds freaking awesome to me.

Titanfall will be THE multiplayer title of the next gen.

I am not a fan of the racing genre, but Forza looks great. I actually want to give it a shot just for drivatar.

So, what has the competition to offer this far?

I dislike Killzone with passion. It has nice visuals, but it is lacking in every other category. Story, Gameplay, controls, level design, multiplayer... For me, Killzone is the perfect example for a generic FPS.

InFamous is meh to me as well. And a 50% collpase of sales for the sequel indicates that I am not alone with that feeling.

Other than that, there are a handful of indie games, I gladly pass.

They never lose me. Even there will only 100units sold worldwide, I will be one of them.

Its funny that "THE multiplayer title of the next gen" can be played on current gen XD.  Halo being the best gaming franchise, I guess I can understand that, personally I'm kinda sick of Halo, I think this is gonna be the 9th Halo game, I'm just bored of them at this point, but if FPS's are your thing then more power to you.  As far as inFamous 2 sales, all that shows is Sony did a piss poor job marketing the game, that shows nothing about the quality of the game, you look at the review scores for that and it got positive reviews.  As far as you saying Quantum Break will basically instantly be good because its made by Remedy?  Remedy has not put out enough good games to just assume tha every game they put out will be good, we have to wait and see about that.  I don't know how you can dislike Killzone so much, but okay, to me its a pretty good FPS, and Killzone 2 and 3 were received very well and got very high scores.  Also "other than that" there is Drive Club, Knack, The Other 1886 and the other games Sony will reveal at Gamescom.  I highly doubt Microsoft will reveal anything else, or they would have said so.

Knack, Driveclub are probably the most boring looking games for quite some time IMO. I already forgot about those.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

I certainly won't like their approach to gaming, but just release Lost Odyssey 2 and I'll buy the console...

If I keep saying it, maybe it will happen?

First they'd have to drop the Kinect requirement. Not just be able to turn it off, but unplug it and allow the console to work with out it. Not sure it can do that yet.

After... GAMES.

I bought the 360 all those years ago because I really wanted to play Halo 3. I bought the PS3 all those years ago because I really wanted to play MGS4.

I have (last 3 years) stuck with the PS3 because I really wanted to play The Last Of Us, GOW: A, UC3 and the others. I haven't bought anything aside from Halo 4 and Reach for the 360 in years.

Microsoft lost me not with the DRM, Kinect, and $500. They last me with the last 3 years of nothing but Halo, Gears, and COD DLC. So for me to buy the Xbox One, Microsoft must provide good exclusives I really want to play. And Titan Fall, Halo 5, Forza, and Killer whatever won't do that. Hopefully they use that 1 billion on better shit
