Forums - Gaming Discussion - First full Destiny track, 'Awakening', released - Better than Halo? You be the judge

I like it, but for now Halo sounds better. Going to have to wait for more soundtracks to release to have final judging.

Halo sounds better.

It's mixed by a fan, though. Not sure if it's exactly like the real track. The track in the OP is the first full official release. I would not call that song better personally. It's different. Less magical and sci-fi-ish and more epic.

Probably true though I was not aware of that.  I didnt read the description as you can tell :P  here is some samples though that i know is real.  Or at least i believe is.

A lot better.

Halo is better...and so is Castlevania:Lords of Shadow. I love that soundtrack.

That track sounds like it comes from a decent Sci-fi game or movie; it's good but ultimately easily forgettable. I'd put it on par with the lesser songs of Halo 4. Halo's that were composed by Marty are significantly better than this though.

But it's just one song so I still have high hopes that Marty will be able to create some sublime music for Destiny because that's what he does.

I haven't played any of the Halo games except a little bit of the original about a decade ago but this is still my favorite song from the series.

Awakening was good but doesn't come close to this IMO.

Proudest Platinums:
1. Gran Turismo 5
2. Persona 4 Arena
3. Wipeout HD
4. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2
5. Super Street Fighter 4

I've judged... And as most have said, no. It isn't.

Great. Thanks for stopping by

Not memorable but is Halo soundtrack good? I heard one track from Halo 3 and thought it was as forgettable as this.
