Considering Kinect is essential for the xbox one- you will be able to buy another one from Microsoft and/or they have a great warranty on it. I seriously doubt that you would have to buy another xbox one lol. If I had to guess how much kinect costs alone I'd say between 100-130 dollars.

Im sure MS might have replacement Kinect 2's available just in case one breaks. The only reason they are bundling it, im sure is for fear that the market wont respond to it this early on in the cycle. Later on they might cut the bundling once the Xbones price is better so they can make more money off of the product.

I kind of have a healthy distrust of MS. I never believed them when they initially said DRM couldn't be removed because of its software base and I don't believe when someone says its dependent unless its a hardware dependence, which I don't believe it is. MS will make tweaks, I am sure once the price of the One drops so people will have the choice of whether they want the Kinect or not. I believe they aren't giving people a choice for a reason.

Kinect for windows is supposedly out sometimes next year for $399. Gives you an idea how far off you are with your estimate...

Well damn - i was thinking since you need kinect to even use the xbox, they'd make it more affordable for the xbox one. I don't think they'd be that cruel. Plus selling kinect for 400 would mean they could be losing between 2 to 3 hundred dollars per unit because they're bundling kinect 2 in there. I don't think that's the case.

They will probably sell one separatly like a controller. I doubt that they take the Nintendo route and dont sell them separately...

So sony is the only company not forcing a peripheral on us, eh?
