huh? clearly my message is more about the active ir in kinect and you being able to block the hd camera and it should work fine from the videos ive seen. have i played kinect 2 yes lol.. kinect 2 is for windows. have i played with kinect for xbox one no. but ive seen multiple videos and articles stating how much better it is. the fact that the active ir stuff can see you pretty clearly in the dar, its ability to detect rotations, the weight shift detection, higher def cam(sd 640x480 to hd 1080p), better mic with better noise cancellation, and also the better field of view makes it amazing lol. kinect tennis in rivals will be alot better than the old version. to be honest i wish steel batallion would try again with a free version with the new sensor |
I've watched videos of Project natals absolutely perfect voice recognition and hand jesture recognition without a single hitch on stage, I've also swore blindly at my xbox trying to get it to sweep over to the apps page by voice command and almost lost my shit at the thing trying to pick out a song in Just Dance 3 before giving up and going to the controller to do it. Don't believe everything you see on a stage showing it working fine.
Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

So no cell phone/phone of any kind, laptop/computer, or internet for you then.
Oh wait... you're using the internet to post on this website right now. Unless you are using a series of rerouting proxies, they could easily track everything you do and even track you down just from posting stuff online.
So if people really want to be paranoid they need to quit being so selective about it! Lol.
"Oh I'm only paranoid about facebook and the kinect. The internet and my cell phone can't possibly be spying on me."

"Kinect can not see the living room...self destruct in 3...2...."
| NotStan said: Putting your boxers over the camera is not a viable option, Kinect can sense when you're masturbating and can feel the heat signatures in the room. Your solution is invalid, it's the tech from the future, just covering the camera is punishable by death and can result in the removal of your Xbox without any reimbursement. |
lol that was good :)
OP: I can understand why people feel unconfortable about it. Personnaly I do not really care and I'm going to have this baby pluged-in all day long
To be honnest we are all a bit paranoid to a certain extend. I'm actually making sure to avoid and not install anything from Google for instance. Like these people who are paranoid about Kinect; it is a bit irrationnal... But hey; we are all humans after all!

Yes, because MS REALLY wants to hear random gamers talk about their daily activities. Liek they got nothing better to do ;P |
Well yeah, it will give them feedback about ads they are showing, complaints, things they like, etc. I believe I remember seeing something from an MS guy saying something to the effect of "if you appear happy, or voice approval for something, it will provide feedback to devs about what part of the game they are enjoying". Though, tbh, it would work the same with ads...so if someone is like, "oh man, I'm hungry, it might start showing food ads". Not a big deal, imo, and kinda cool in a way. Hopefully that is all it is used for.

IAgreed. The only time I've had something weird is when I sent someone an email and then literally something was cut and pasted out of my email as a keyword, and there was an ad at the top of the page saying "click here to learn more about (that thing I wrote)". I was really creeped out.
I think kinect is a pretty interesting device. I do like the night vision feature. I wouldn't mind programming for the device. Maybe when I get some more money together. Surely there's a lot you can do with it.

and then they yanked the brain out of kinect, oh wait 40 limbs nah we only need 20, oh and lets throw in a crappy 640x480 cam. for voice turn your tv up as loud as you can while training kinect and find the noise level threshold. i talk to kinect in my regular voice and it work just fine.
as for as on stage of course not but where not talking demos onstage but handson demonstraitions
Well, several tech companies are sending the government data either through coercion or bc of getting $$$$$ somehow.
The video camera part of Kinect isn't the only thing that the government would want to look at.
What websites have you gone to?
What searches have you performed on bing?
Do any of your friends have any form of criminal deviancy- i.e terrorism connections, pedophilia, drug sales/distribution, etc ???????
And beleive me, if they target you, they'll listen to every conversation that you have from your headset or messaging, bc MSFT loves you so much that they'll give it all over to Uncle Sam.
