No it's not. I was gaming then. I was 7 in 1986, playing this game for the first time. Gamers, didn't exist outside of the arcades. So we were ALL practically "non gamers". But you know what? We learned from these games through blood sweat and tears. Today's gamers, aside from a VERY small minority, would quit gaming altogether if all they had were three lives, no continues and no saves. It's not their fault, but it's the truth.
On the whole, gamers from my generation, at least the ones like me that KEPT playing all the way until now? We have skill sets that are just superior.
