Mark your calendars for July 16 - Ubisoft’s critically-acclaimed “Assassin’s Creed II” will be the next game featured in the Xbox Live “Games with Gold” program. Normally 1600 Microsoft Points, “Assassin’s Creed II” can be downloaded on Xbox 360 for free by Xbox Live Gold members between July 16 and July 31.  After you download it, it is yours to keep. 

And, make sure you don’t miss the current “Games with Gold” game - Gold members can download “Defense Grid: The Awakening” for free until July 15.

As a special thanks to the Xbox Live Gold community, the “Games with Gold” program gives Xbox Live Gold members two free games to keep each month. “Defense Grid: The Awakening” and “Assassin’s Creed II” were the first pair of games announced for the month of July. And, “Fable 3” was a special bonus game available in June. We’ll have more details about upcoming additional titles in the near future.

Downloaded Defense Grid yesterday.

I already own Assassin's Creed II, unfortunately.

Even if you have the physical copy, I think you should download the game. I Microsoft will announce soon that you will keep every game you own digitaly on Xbox Live. You will be able to play them on you Xbox One and any future console. If it didn't benefit, it won't hurt.

Even if you allready own this and upcoming games, the fact that you can keep it forever doesn't hurt.

And defense grid is a great reviewed game. and under appreciated.

This was my favourite one so anyone that doesn't have it should try it.

Thank you please. I've had loads of chances to play AssCree games but for reasons unknown I've never actually played one.

Meanwhile on Playstation Plus. Battlefield 3, Uncharted 3 and Saints Row the third and Ico collection HD are all free now. Microsoft should try harder. At least they give something away now.
