Well, see it's more complicated than that. I was never against account tying and id-tagging, etc etc. I was against the DRM. It was argued by MS that in order for this to work, that you had to have the DRM, but it's untrue, there were other options. Other options that even xbox fans here said, like, "you can lend, but they need to have the disc in the drive", or "create temporary lending accounts, so that I can lend you a game via the cloud for a set period of my choosing", or, "allow for users to transfer games to other people without any other requirements".
I even WANTED the ps4 to be more like the xb1. I predicted them to do it. Not a huge increase in performance, streaming to optimize, using Gaikai to play games in super-high def, steam-like marketplace, more digital, etc. XB1 was very much a great attempt, but unfortunately raped by MS. They had their fingers in every single honeypot the xb1 created. Every thing they could scrimp and dime people on, they did. They really thought of everything.
Now, had this been 2 years down the line, and not had things like mandatory kinect, it would've been great to have id-tagging and accounts. As it stands, I'm not against this Sony 4k player thing, but then again, we haven't heard the policies behind it either. But I digress.
