Don't try Final Fantasy VI first, or everything else will look bad in comparison, except, maybe, Final Fantasy IV.

So you didn't like X?

It was alright. I used to think it was quite good but after trying to replay it, I quickly realised it was nothing special.

Tidus is annoying and tedious. Its linear. The voice acting is terrible. I dont think there is a memorable, standout character. Zanarkand is the only good, memorable track. It spawned X-2. Slow and boring battle system. Terrible "minigames".

Im just not a fan.

Do you like Tidus? Do you think the voice acting is good? Do you think FFX isnt the game which introduced linearity to the series? Do you think X-2 is a good game?

At least try argue against it, if you can.

Play IV, V and VI in that order (I don't think you can go wrong with any of them, just skip to the next one if you don't like one of them), then play VII, if you think VII is a step forward play IX next, if you think it was a step backwards try VIII. If you like IX more than any other FF at this point stop right there, you're done with the franchise. If you like VIII, play X, X-2, XIII, XIII-2, you should like all of those. If you don't like VIII, play X, if you like X continue with the rest in the prior sentence, if you don't like X then avoid them all, and try XII. If you don't like IX then try X, like? don't like? I already told you what to do. If you don't like XII, it's OK, it's not even a Final Fantasy game. If you like XII, it's OK, it's not even a Final Fantasy game...well, jokes aside, you should try XIV if you're up for MMOs. And of course if you liked a lot IV, V or VI, try the PSP/DS remakes of I, II, III, IV.

That's...pretty spot on actually.

Mmm. no. My favourite one is 8. The worst is 13, by far. X is ok, but overrated. So no.

Well the voice acting was FAAAAAAAARRRRRRRR from terrible. The characters and their voices are believable and standout. They don't feel unnatural at all. The voices fit the characters almost perfectly ESPECIALLY for its time. The only part about the voice acting that i didn't like was the laughing scene

Oh god

Tidus?? You mean the outgoing cry baby? Yea he's alright. I don't like his character more than somebody like Cloud though.

You are 100% correct about ffx introducing linearity. There was no world map, you couldn't drive boats or the airship manually and they got rid of the card system that i loved in FF9 so i guess that would fall under the mini game category for you and i also agree.

I don't really like FFX-2. The thing that gave your scar away was when you said the only memorable track of FFX was Zanarkand. I guess it all depends on what you ment by that. You can say what you want about FFX but Square went CRAZY on that FFX sound track lol

and i mean the good kind of crazy

So really the only thing you disagree on is the soundtrack?

Isn't it just funny that people are repelled by excellent games just because they don't like the main character. Which means in their case that the game sucks...

My guess is people calling Cloud, Squall and Tidus cry-babies and therefor not liking the game probably identify themselves too much with the main character.

Well, if you dont like the main character then you generally wont enjoy playing as them throughout a 50-100 Hour videogame. The difference between Cloud, Squall and Tidus is that you cant actually hear Cloud and Squall being annoying.

Tidus is only one part of the problem with FFX.
