Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Super Smash Bros. Brawl Review

it should easily average at least 90% on metacritics, and all the others
if it doesn't dont say its genre held it back or the reviewers were biased because most true gamers will be excepting of anything if its good.

another perfect score

nice review! I like the one picture they used! ^_^

Great game, great score

@ Hyperion

Why are IGN Bums? They don't nitpick, I love their reviews. They hold games to a high standard, and rightfully so.

cool to see another high review. Never have heard of that site though, maybe just me there.

I suppose I didn't mean that. I usually respect what IGN has to say, but the last Wii-k in review (the bash-smash cast) was very negative toward Brawl. Their comments left a bitter taste in my mouth, and my anger is just now abating.

They aren't bums. I was just a pissed off Nintendo/Brawl fan. Hehehe.

Add me for Pokemon, New Leaf, and Fire Emblem, Mario Kart 8.

I think someone needs to make a ban/vg$ bet thread about which will get the higher overall reviews (SMG or SSBB)

my money is on SMG, but brawl following closely

one thing i liked about this review is that they pointed out the stage creator was basic, and yet gave it a 10.. its as if they recognised that although it was basic, it could have just as easily been left out without people even knowing there was a possibility of something like it.. however it is for that very same reason that i fear other reviews that don't realise this.. i expect bitching about clones, despite >25 (its higher than 25, but i'm avoiding giving a character amount spoiler) completely unique characters being available

Anyone know if we'll be able to access ZS Samus through the menu (through some sort of button combination, possibly)?

Having to get a smash ball as Samus to use her would mean that she'll probably be the least played character in the game.

I'm a pissed off Brawl fan, and IGN does pretty much suck as of a couple days ago. They whined and complained about the Subspace mode like crazy.

I COMPLETELY missed out on the parts of SSE where you just sit and do nothing...because everything I've seen so far I LOVE.

I mean, I can understand fighting the hordes of enemies to get a little dull at times...but come on! The guys on the wii-k in review were extremely negative...it's like they don't even understand what the fans want or like.

I'm trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, and that SSE really does suck...but I...I just can't see it...I've been looking at TONS of gameplay videos and I'm eating it all up. Unless it's really awkward and uncomfortable when actually playing (doubt it) I don't understand their complaints.

Plus, they sound utterly clueless when they said "we didn't even wavedash, it's like snaking in Mario Kart" or something along those lines...wtf, like you even could?

edit: Oh snap, I just found out IGN only got through like 30% of the SSE mode, no wonder they don't know anything about it...also, Bozon is an idiot.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

Select Samus and then hold R when pressing Start to go to the stage screen.

Either that or hold R when selecting Samus.  I forget which, but yes, you can, which means both ZSS and Sheik are fully playable even without items on.
