Monolith Soft's X doesn't cut it, because it isn't one of the three big Nintendo IPs
If we don't get a true 3D Mario, a new Metroid by Retro and a proper Zelda game, then what's even the point of owning a Wii U?

What does a sequel to one of the best rated JRPG series (X-Gears/Saga/Blade/This) not being a part of Nintendo's big 3 have to do with it? Does everyone buy a Microsoft product for Halo, Gears and Forza? What about Sony for GT, Uncharted, and God of War?
X is a great way to stick it to the hardcore. Now that XenoBlade has proven then an X series JRPG is even better on a Nintendo console, and now that the series has some hype, X could sell better then Metroid. Since console JRPG's are becoming more and more rare, this could very well be the best way to stick it to the hardcore, since it's very likely PS4/One will not get any AAA JRPG exclusives (FFXV and KH3 are not exclusive, and may very well also release on Wii U too, but it's unlikely).
What's the point of owning a Wii U if you don't have Metroid, Mario or Zelda? Do you want to know what my most played Wii games are? Smash Bros, Mario Kart, XenoBlade, The Last Story, Pandora's Tower,.......Metroid Prime 3,......and Fire Emblem. Of my 7 most played Wii games, only 1 is from "the big 3."
Is there even a big 3 anymore? Mario Kart and Smash Bros each outsell Zelda and Metroid Combined, and even outsell Mario. If anything, the Big 3 should now be Wii ____, Mario Kart, and Smash Bros, and Wii U is getting good iterations of all 3.

Also, to continue my arguement for X, there are also 3 Platinum Games exclusives, and I hear they also express an interest in developing a StarFox game. Plus SMT X Fire Emblem, and what ever unique support Japan gives the system.
