So which version of games are you getting? If a game releases on both current and next gen consoles, will you keep buying current gen (360,wii, ps3) or will you go next gen (one,ps4, wii u)

I will start buying next gen versions of games after they launch this holiday. Unless a game is exclusive to current gen i will buy on next gen.

Next-Gen

I am pretty much done with this generation after I get GTAV.

If you're buying a next gen console why would anybody not buy it for the new console. Better resolution, framerate, textures, AI, etc. That's if the developer chooses to increase those by a decent amount.

I'm getting the next gen versions of Battlefield 4, Watch Dogs and CoD.

if you have all your real life friends playing the this gen version of as example cod, it doesn't make really sense to buy the next gen version if there is no cross-play and if you always play with them.

Current Gen

If I had a ps4 or sbone then I would buy the game for them.

BUT the amount of games being released for all systems ps3, ps4, 360, one, wii u, will prevent me from buying a ps4, one for a while. Why buy a next gen console when the games are still available on a system I already have.

Some extra polygons are not worth $450+

Not to mention I have a good PC, so will be able to get better graphics on that for most games that are multiplat

Depends on game. I will take both versions of mgs v, watch dogs and gta v (if they release).

Since you included Wii U in the next gen list, then Next is my answer, if the game is not available on Wii U, then PS3 version. It will take a lot of time and a lower price for me to buy a second console, paying to play online and not able to use the older controllers are rising the entry price for the PS4 and Xbox One.

I'll keep buying/playing the must have games and games I've never had a chance to play on my old consoles.
And all the other stuff next gen
