The news, part two:

Hearthstone voice actor leaks a new 'Tunnel Rodent' card
http://www.pcgamer.com/hearthstone-voice-actor-leaks-a-new-tunnel-rodent-card/
The voice actor who provides the voice of the Innkeeper in the French version of Hearthstone may have unintentionally revealed details about a new card coming in the next expansion. Pierre-Alain De Garrigues posted video of himself recording a character called Tunnel Rodent—although I wonder if that might ultimately prove to be Tunnel Rat—to his Twitter account, and while he quickly took it down, he wasn't quite quick enough.

Hand of Fate 2 will be out in November, fourth companion revealed
http://www.pcgamer.com/hand-of-fate-2-will-be-out-in-november-fourth-companion-revealed/
The action-RPG card game Hand of Fate 2 was announced last year as a "more nuanced" take on its predecessor, with a greater emphasis on smart deck building and a focus on "improving and expanding the concepts and systems of the original." Things seemed to be coming along well half a year later when we caught up with Defiant Development at PAX West 2016, and today the studio announced that the work is just about done, and the game will be out on November 7.

Mercy's new Resurrect has been nerfed on the latest Overwatch PTR
http://www.pcgamer.com/overwatch-mercy-resurrect-nerf/
Mercy received a significant overhaul in the last major Overwatch balance patch, completely changing how her Resurrect ability works. It seems the new Mercy was a bit overpowered—she's been incredibly prevalent since the changes went live—and now Blizzard is testing a nerf to her new kit.

Spec Ops: The Line writer 'would eat broken glass' before considering sequel
http://www.pcgamer.com/spec-ops-the-line-writer-would-eat-broken-glass-before-considering-sequel/
Yager's Spec Ops: The Line was as brutal as it was brazen, but was ultimately a commercial failure. This fact alone is enough to rule out a sequel, however its lead writer has spelled out some other reasons the 2012 shooter won't be revisited.

Yeah, it'd probably be mainly for retro games, as I'll go with consoles for modern games. I do find DOSbox difficult, but it's probably because I'm not accustomed to DOS itself, and not having a GUI.

I was using computers before Windows even existed... And all we had was DOS.
Be buggered if I could remember everything related to DOS from 25 years ago though, just wasnt required to retain that information.
I can still navigate and use commands related to managing disks and so on though.

VM is a much easier approach to running old games IMHO. Building a Retro PC is your best bet if you want the good old experience though, but can be   expensive sourcing old working components.

The thing is, I'm not very familiar with PCs and building them myself, so I'd be at a total loss if I wanted to build a PC from that era, and would also not know where to get the components at a fair price.

The official countdown for Elex has begun. Only 6 work days for me now until my 2 week vacation begins. 2 weeks of nonstop Elex.

To get in the right mood for the new Blade Runner movie, yesterday I played through Westwood's BR adventure again.

Almost 20 years old and still a great game... with a unique choice of Voxel character rendering:

Intel Coffee Lake processor reviews are not up! Here's a roundup of several of them:

Some good gains there... I say "good" only because we had gotten used to 0-5% gains each year.
Going from benchmarks I am looking at a 25-35% increase across the spectrum when compared to my 6 year old 3930K, whilst using 30w of power less.

It has made the LGA 2066 Quad and Hex core chips absolutely worthless buys in my opinion.

If you are running Nahelem, Phenom or FX, this is a great chip to upgrade to... Keen to see what next year brings with Ryzen 2 and Ice Lake, we do need some IPC gains.

Well. If you were in Aus, then I would say swap meets, computer recyclers and so on.

But looking for a working Pentium 3 Tualatin or a Duron Applebred at 1.4Ghz or better would be ideal as a base system, then upgrade the GPU's, maybe throw in more Ram... And and whack in an SSD. (Might need an IDE to Sata adapter for some rigs though.)

Hey guys. I was wondering if Divinity Original Sin 2 and Total War Warhammer 2 are worth it? I'll admit to not having played the original games at all. But they look interesting!

I've played a bit of D:OS2. If you really like RPG strategy and don't care much about story or colorful characters then you have an absolutely solid and deep game. The RPG mechanics are fleshed out well and everything is really polished.

I haven't continued yet because I'm more interested in world building and fun characters. So I will definitely find more fun in Dragon Age where it's less about mechanics and more about the adventure. If I had to compare it's like DA Origin, only less interesting.

There's one reason to go 2066, and that's PCIe lanes.

Coffee Lake offers 16 lanes while the i7-7800X has 28. If someone wants to go with a dual GPU setup plus one or two NVMe drives, those extra lanes will come in handy.

That's ... hmm ... kind of disappointing.

For me it is but not because it's a bad game. It's just not interesting enough for me. In its core it's an absolutely great game. People really into DND and RPG mechanics love it.

But I'm someone who considers DAO the worst game in the series by far, so there's that.
