Man if AMD keeps the AM4 socket going with IPC improvements and all that jazz for 3 years, I will be even more happy that I chose Ryzen over Intel and also recommended that.

Cause lets say that in the next line of CPUs, Ryzen has the same IPC as a SkyLake i7 which I don't think that is that impossible of a task and they keep the 8 cores. That means that in order for me to get what is essentially an 8 core i7, I would need to just upgrade my CPU instead of upgrading everything like on intel side. And then on 2019, they have another IPC improvement and again, 8 core i7 with IPC improvement while keeping the same socket while on intel's side, oh look, new cpu + new mobo.

Meanwhile, if I bought a Kaby Lake i5, my upgrade path would be an i7 and then Rip really. Not to say those are bad cpus and the i7 is certainly performance king in a lot of gaming areas but man, if AMD does this right, all I can say is just damnn.

And then of course, DDR5 will come and then zen 2 will probably support it and that is when I may want to upgrade my PC.

But it's all theory, lets see how it plays out.

Valve removes 173 'spam' games from Steam, all published by one person

173 games were removed from the Steam store yesterday, which may be a record. As Polygon reports, the removed games include titles such as Fruit Candypop, Rage Parking Simulator 2017, SHAPES4, SHAPES5, SHAPES6, and, who could forget, SHAPES7. Sure enough, SteamDB shows that all of the games in the list were updated about 18 hours ago, and none of them have Steam store pages anymore (though existing owners should still be able to play them).

A rare Overwatch bug is causing false seasonal bans and dramatic SR drops (Updated)
http://www.pcgamer.com/a-rare-overwatch-bug-is-causing-false-seasonal-bans-and-dramatic-sr-drops/
Overwatch players have reportedly encountered a very rare but serious bug that causes their skill rating to be lowered by hundreds of points at once, and worse, hits them with an immediate season ban. As detailed in this Reddit thread, it seems to happen when a player disconnects from a competitive match at a particularly unlucky point while it's loading, which causes it go to into a "waiting for players" state. At that point, the match tries to start, fails, returns to "waiting for players," and remains stuck in that loop.
Update: Overwatch game director Jeff Kaplan has acknowledged the issue in a Battle.net forum post.

USB 3.2 Specification Published and Announced
http://www.guru3d.com/news-story/usb-3-2-specification-published-and-announced.html
A while ago there was already word out on the street that the USB Focus group would be announcing a new draft for upcoming USB 3.2, that has now been finalized and published. To keep things really simple, we're doubling thing up once again.

Where USB 3.0 aka 3.1 Gen1 was capable of 5 Gbps connectivity, USB 3.1 Gen2 did 10 Gbps. USB 3.2 will double that up-towards 20 Gbps. Divide it by 8 bits and that would be 2500 MB/sec from which you need to deduct encoding and errors. There is a distinction though as it is based up-on two-lane operation as tweakers.net spotted today.

USB version Speed Encoding Connectors
USB 2.0 (incl usb 1.0 and 1.1) up to 480 Mbps 8 / 10bit Type a, b (mini, micro), c
USB 3.1 Gen 1 (SuperSpeed Usb) up to 5 Gbps 8 / 10bit Type a, b (mini, micro), c
USB 3.1 Gen 2 (SuperSpeed usb Gbps) up to 10 Gbps 128 / 130bit  Type a, b (micro), c
USB 3.2 (SuperSpeed usb 20 Gbps)

up to 2 lanes 5 Gbps

up to 2 lanes 10 Gbps

128 / 130bit  Type a, b (micro), c

>>I think we can say that, with USB, industry standards are long ahead of consumer needs. I haven't seen any case with an USB Type C connector nor motherboards with more than one or two.

http://www.pcgamer.com/this-shenmue-3-dev-diary-video-has-facial-animations-that-actually-work/
Ys Net rolled out a short trailer for Shenmue 3 last month that didn't make the best possible impression with everyone. It was nice to see that progress is being made, but the characters' faces didn't exactly make for the most realistic digital folk we've ever seen.

It's currently on Kickstarter, with Pathos Interactive asking for $49,011. At the time of writing, its campaign has raised $16,249 and will run for another 26 days.

Just gave it a quick whirl. Some things I can take note of...

* I am extremely bad for never having played a CoD multi component seriously in over a decade.

* It's extremely light on hardware, my RX 580 had no issues maxing it out at 1440P.

* It's also not a graphics power house, you can tell it's engine is based off the same old engine they have been iteratively improving on since Quake 3 almost 2 decades ago.

* Sound isn't as good as Battlefield.

* Would have liked larger maps, vehicles and so on.

Not sure if I will bother pre-ordering the game, I was hoping for something radically different and improved and expanded upon from prior CoD efforts... And this was the perfect opportunity with a return to the WW2 setting.
Hopefully the single player component lives up to itself, last CoD single player I genuinely enjoyed was World at War.
