I would never spend 600 bucks on a new GPU because I know it would be shit. To get a good one you need to spend at least 700. That said, I did survive quite a long time with my 680 until I got the 980ti. I'm not 100% sold on the Titan yet but it's not like I got a choice. I want to build a new PC early next year and I sure as hell won't keep my 980ti or take a shitty 1080.

By next year the prices could be lower than now. And we don't know if there will be a $1,000 1080Ti.

On a side note: "I would never spend 600 bucks on a new GPU because I know it would be shit" Have we really got to that point?

We've been at that point since you couldn't get a good 680 for under 600^^

I mean you have seen the initial reaction for the price of the 1080. People (including me) were actually praising the low price despite probably being the most expensive x80 at launch ever. So either Nvidia is doing marketing extremely well or we're just at this point. We're at a point where I was genuinely happy and surprised that a 6700k costs less than 400, a fucking CPU.

Maybe it's this feeling of euphoria technology enthusiasts get when they are presented with more and more power over the years. We live in a time where actual 4k gaming is within reach on a single GPU. I love to be excited for new technology and this excitement is basically ripping my bank account wide open for ridiculous spending.

I also like watching how tech advances and how powerful CPUs and GPUs have become, but I don't let that get in the way of what I can buy or afford.

And why did you get a 680 for 600? The retail price was 500 and there were lots of good AIB cards in between.

Please excuse my bad English.

Former gaming PC: i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

I wanted nothing but the best and the best was the Asus OC card. It was the second highest clocked card that was also one of the most silent.

And don't worry, I never overspend. I have a quite cheap livestyle and had a good paying job. That's why I always have a good amount of saved up money and no problem spending it on the things I love. Now if I only could get a good job soon again, everything would be fine.

THE TURING TEST WILL QUESTION LIFE AND MORALITY NEXT MONTH

http://www.pcgamer.com/the-turing-test-will-question-life-and-morality-next-month/

From the makers of Pneuma: Breath of Life, The Turing Test is a first-person sci-fi-inspired puzzle game that echoes the likes of Portal and The Talos Principle—at least in theme, style and concept. During a brief viewing at the PC Gaming Show last month, we learned that it’s set on Jupiter’s moon Europa and that “it's based in an underlying reality, of wanting to tell a story that could actually be true,” according to the game’s writer and designer David Jones.

Electro Griffin is a neon-dipped Robocop ready version of Griffin, outfitted with a dopey new look, some altered abilities and weapons. Chief among them are The Laser Storm, an electric SMG that can be fired while running at full speed that slows the monster, and The Final Lockdown, a short range harpoon that does damage over time.

HUMAN FALL FLAT IS A PHYSICS-BASED GAME ABOUT DREAMS, MYSTERIES, AND BREAKING STUFF

http://www.pcgamer.com/human-fall-flat-is-a-physics-based-game-about-dreams-mysteries-and-breaking-stuff/

Human Fall Flat is a physics-based puzzler with a goofy name and a simple premise: Guide Bob, a normal (if somewhat dexterously-challenged) human, on a quest to open a mysterious door that haunts his dreams. Or, conversely, you could opt to just knock crap around and break stuff. Whatever turns your crank.

GEARBOX DETAILS WHAT'S NEXT FOR BATTLEBORN

http://www.pcgamer.com/gearbox-details-whats-next-for-battleborn/

The cold-blooded assassin—literally, because he is a reptile—named Pendles, the second of five planned free additions to the online FPS Battleborn, was first revealed to the world back in May. He's from the same watery planet as his friend Alani, the first post-launch hero, but left it in his adolesence to explore the universe, learn about other cultures, and kill them. Today, 2K Games announced that he'll join the game on July 28 for season pass holders, and August 4 for everyone else.

REMAKE OF SUDA51 MYSTERY THE SILVER CASE GETS FIRST TRAILER

http://www.pcgamer.com/remake-of-suda51-mystery-the-silver-case-gets-first-trailer/

Before KIller 7 and No More Heroes, Suda51 made a text-heavy murder mystery visual novel named The Silver Case, and what with those being all the rage these days (thanks to Danganronpa, 999 and the like), it makes sense for there to be a remaster in the works. Not least because the original never made it Westward.

They have an unique look.

Yep, they have. This one is Phantom 240, i got this case since i started build new PC almost year(i think November 2015?).

Supposedly... i was looking for Corsair Carbide 200R, sadly...all vendors stopped selling Corsair brand entirely due to overpriced & unappealing for gamers, rather sell the sport car, military or alien thingy theme cases such as thermaltake, NZXT, Bitfenix & Coolermaster. :|

You wanted this? But that looks so bland, even ugly. Looks even worse than the computers they have at my work.

NZXT on the other hand makes the best looking cases.

Yes, and this also i've been looking for Carbide 100R. You're not the only one dislike these two cases, even many friends of mine hated all Corsair's hardware for many reasons.

Funny, i was about to buy Corsair H90, a liquid CPU cooler...I bought NZXT Kraken X31 instead lol

Just saw this beast of a case, immediately wanted one

Too bad its a custom made prototype. Somebody suggested I take a look at this instead

Except they're sold out right now. Stupid small Kickstarters not having stock -__-

Just let me have a tiny case

Oh...that little case from kickstarters. :| I think it looks cool.

The thermals though xD
