I mean you have seen the initial reaction for the price of the 1080. People (including me) were actually praising the low price despite probably being the most expensive x80 at launch ever. Maybe it's this feeling of euphoria technology enthusiasts get when they are presented with more and more power over the years. We live in a time where actual 4k gaming is within reach on a single GPU. I love to be excited for new technology and this excitement is basically ripping my bank account wide open for ridiculous spending.

I also like watching how tech advances and how powerful CPUs and GPUs have become, but I don't let that get in the way of what I can buy or afford.

And why did you get a 680 for 600? The retail price was 500 and there were lots of good AIB cards in between.

I wanted nothing but the best and the best was the Asus OC card. It was the second highest clocked card that was also one of the most silent.

And don't worry, I never overspend. I have a quite cheap livestyle and had a good paying job. That's why I always have a good amount of saved up money and no problem spending it on the things I love. Now if I only could get a good job soon again, everything would be fine.
