Wow, what's happening to you is very strange and sounds like a nightmare.

Have you tried doing a fresh install?

I have, yeah, like OS and everything.

Is V-sync not meant to cause frame and input lag?. I keep reading up about V-sync vs FSBWM and most of the time the latter is better.

I honestly don't know.

I'm lucky enough to not notice most of those problems (like tearing and lag, stuttering is another thing), so I haven't looked much about them.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

I noticie them for a good number of games that don't have good v-sync options, when I have to use CP V-sync then I'll notice frame lag (frame stuttering), this msotly goes for games like GTA V, Dying Light etc. Of course if I don't use any form of V-sync then I'm definitely going to see tearing.

Oxide Games has launched a new Beta of Ashes of the SIngularity which includes EMA support. EMA stands for "Explicit Multi-Adapter" which is the ability to mix two different GPUs (2xNvidia, 2xAMD or AMD+Nvidia).

Logically, a lot of sites have jumped in to test the current cards under DX 12 in both single and multiple GPU configurations:

AnandTech: http://anandtech.com/show/10067/ashes-of-the-singularity-revisited-beta

Guru3D: http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/ashes_of_singularity_directx_12_benchmark_ii_review,1.html

PCGamesHardware.de(in german): http://www.pcgameshardware.de/Ashes-of-the-Singularity-Spiel-55338/Specials/Benchmark-Test-DirectX-12-1187073/

TechSpot: http://www.techspot.com/article/1137-directx-12-multi-gpu-geforce-radeon/

TechPowerUp: http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Performance_Analysis/Ashes_of_the_Singularity_Mixed_GPU/2.html

In summary:

1-AMD cards benefit the most from DX12, with Nvidia having little benefit or even performing a bit worse.

2-The game is VERY CPU depending. Anandtech saw bottlenecks at 4K and High Quality settings when in multi-card configurations despite using an i7-4960X.

3-When mixing GPUs, the choose of a leading card is important (FuryX + 980Ti > 980Ti + FuryX), and it's advisable to mix cards with similar performance.

Hey guy,s new rumors/info about Nvidia's upcoming Pascal GPUs.

RUMOR : NVIDIA PASCAL TO DEBUT AT GTC, LAUNCH IN JUNE

http://wccftech.com/nvidia-pascal-debut-gtc-2016-launch-june/#ixzz41AVPxcWC

"Nvidia is reportedly preparing to debut its next generation Pascal graphics cards at GTC in April with a product launch at Computex in June"... "Whispers have reached us of Nvidia planning to showcase a Pascal graphics card at the show for the very first time."

"In fact, a source claims that this will take place on April 5th during Nvidia’s CEO Jen-Hsun Huang’s keynote. A pascal graphics board will allegedly be showcased on stage during the keynote. This time we’re told that it’s not just going to be a prototype to visually demonstrate the form factor like last year, but actual working Pascal chips."

"Moving on the second tidbit dealing with Pascal’s actual arrival to market. This one comes directly from sweclockers.com where the site claims that Nvidia is planning to launch its very first lineup of Pascal graphics cards at Computex in June. This launch will specifically be for the mobility lineup going into gaming notebooks."

Question.

When considering a CPU - want to know people's opinions - what do ya'll look more into - the number of CPU cores or the processing clock speed? Like which is more important/vital?

Bear in mind - if needed - I'm looking for a good CPU and wanting to know what I should look into more. Here are things which I'm planning to do with my new PC in the future

-Gaming (both PC gaming and emulation)
-Video Rendering (through Sony Vegas and recording via FRAPs)

None of those.

Let's look at what's available on the market: AMD's best CPU is the FX-9590 which is an 8-core chip that runs at 4.7GHz, Intel's best "affordable" CPU is the i7-6700K which is an 4-core chip that runs at 4.0GHz.

Looking only at the number of cores or the frequency you could believe that the FX-9590 is the better choice, and yet the Intel CPU destroys it in every benchmark available.

To choose a new CPU the best approach is to decide a budget, find the closest CPU to that said budget, and then find benchmarks comparing them. A good place to start is Anandtech's bench, http://www.anandtech.com/bench/CPU/39, where you can select different benchmarks (on the left) or two CPUs and see the comparison.

Oh, and to bring my example to an end, here's the comparison between the FX-9590 and the i7-6700K: http://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/1289?vs=1543

THE BATMOBILE IS COMING TO ROCKET LEAGUE

http://www.pcgamer.com/the-batmobile-is-coming-to-rocket-league/

Put to the back of your mind the blatancy of the promotional tie-in and the fact that Batman has about as little to do with Rocket League as it does with quality PC ports—that didn't stop the DeLorean after all. There is something inescapably fantastic about scoring rocket-goals and demolishing lesser cars as the Batmobile.

NEW DARK SOULS 3 TRAILER IS AS JAUNTY AS IT GETS

http://www.pcgamer.com/new-dark-souls-3-trailer-is-as-jaunty-as-it-gets/

I'm all about Dark Souls' off-kilter soundtrack of unsettling wails and mournful tinkling, but perhaps this one is a little too out-there. Still, it's not the worst rendition of Cyndi Lauper's True Colors to be produced I'm sure, and the footage is most interesting.

ODDWORLD: MUNCH'S ODDYSEE IS GETTING A NEW PORT

http://www.pcgamer.com/oddworld-munchs-oddysee-is-getting-a-new-port/

Originally a launch title for the first Xbox, Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee has been on Steam since 2010. While it's probably little more than an interesting keepsake in the Oddworld series, the PC version is reportedly a very shoddy port. A quick scan of the Steam reviews paints a pretty grim picture: apparently for some users the game just doesn't work, with frequent crashes and other game breaking bugs reported.

PUNCH CLUB GETTING A FREE EXPANSION: THE DARK FIST

http://www.pcgamer.com/punch-club-getting-a-free-expansion-the-dark-fist/

The team behind Punch Club are incorrigible crowd-pleasers, which is fitting for a game about managing a shady boxing ring and part-time vigilante revenge quest. First they invited Twitch to beat the game as one to unlock it on Steam early. Now, they've announced a free expansion to arrive on March 8: The Dark Fist.
