RTX Voice is being superseded by Nvidia Broadcast. Whats interesting is with 410.18 drivers it doesn't require RTX cards and Works on older cards up to Keplar (GTX 600). Which is pretty awesome.

https://videocardz.com/newz/nvidia-rtx-voice-technology-now-working-on-non-rtx-geforce-graphics-cards

Update: tried on my 1070 and latest drivers and won't install :(

Just in case you did not realize because the wording in a lot of the articles not clear

Nvidia Broadcast require RTX

Nvidia RTX voice have worked with GTX card for awhile now actually (For around a year now I think)

Nvidia posted this awhile back https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/guides/nvidia-rtx-voice-setup-guide/

Under requirements it shows the GTX cards compatibility for 410.18 and up if you install RTX voice but Broadcast require RTX.

Tomhardware article really about something that happen a long time ago but guess since NVidia did not really advertise it that it went under the radar even through if you google it you could find it at nvidia website for a long time now.

Humble Choice April 2021 is available to buy from April 6th 2021 to May 4th 2021.

Get all 12 games this month in the Humble Choice April 2021:

All Humble Choice subscribers will also get a new Humble Original, ROGUE MANSION

Hard pass for me this month, the only games I would be interested in that I don't own are Rock of Ages III and Popup dungeon, and neither is really expensive, so they can also simply be bought during a steam/gog sale.

@Cryan Ahh fair enough, thanks. Yeah got a bit confused there lol.

IGN has a sneak peak at Mass Effect Remastered with comparisons of new vs old. Looks like a decent update.

They've added and changed stuff in the first ME like removal of walls (they added to improve performance) and changed assets. Plus used Ai enhanced textures, added AO and even changed the way the Mako drives and fires. Really looking forward to replaying the trilogy with little improvements here and there.

Gigabyte preparing X570S motherboards, could be for AMD Zen3+ “Warhol” CPUs

https://videocardz.com/newz/gigabyte-preparing-x570s-motherboards-could-be-for-amd-zen3-warhol-cpus

Maybe that leak about Zen+ really was real as it wouldn't make any sense to come out with a new chipset for the current lineup of CPUs.

So it sounds like this will be small revision with a more efficient chip-set and passive cooling. With Warhol rumored to be incoming this is good time to release a new board.

Update: Moore’s Law is Dead claims that the S stands for ‘Silent’, which implies that those boards will rely on passive cooling:

I'd be curious as to what the difference will be as the Dark Hero is already passive cooling. Granted it's a $400 mobo but I doubt there's anything very care worthy in terms of actual cooling in the Mobo. Still, it will be interesting.

Kinda lame that Zen 3+ won't be happening. I do still suspect they might do a special XT version at the very least like they did last year with the 3000 series.

[Rumour] Latest AMD CPU Roadmap

https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/mjst0p/latest_amd_cpu_roadmap/

There's some additional "leak" about RDNA 3 as well. Take it with a grain of salt:

"RDNA3: Q3 2022

  • Official roadmap: 50% better performance/watt

  • Actual improvement: better than 50%"

Now the biggest question for me is how it does with Ray Tracing as well as how good is AMD's Super Resolution. We have been seeing quite a number of Major Titles having Ray Tracing support over the past year and it will continue to grow. And thanks to how easy it is to integrate DLSS, quite a number of Ray Tracing and Raster only games are getting it too. Hopefully AMD has major advances in both because Ray Tracing Ultra makes Raster Ultra look like Medium while DLSS helps quite a lot with maintaining it's performance at reasonable framrates. AMD needs a counter to Nvidia's One Two Punch!

LG to close mobile phone business worldwide

Realistically, I expect many other phone companies to also start shutting down in the future. I think in the Android space, the only ones that will remain are Samsung, Google and Chinese phone companies.

I expect them to be Samsung, Motogoogle/Googlerola, Xiaowei (Xiaomi+Huawei) and Oppome (Oppo and Realme) to be the only ones remaining.

Well, Zen+ was only a thing because AMD needed to push Ryzen out the door as soon as possible, meaning not everything was fully working and thus some parts were deactivated until further notice. That further notice was Zen+, which is when the chip was finally fully activated.

The server variants were already fully activated and thus never had a Zen+ version since they basically all were selected from the start to be able to run the things the early desktop variants needed to have turned off to work properly. In other words, they were Zen+ before Zen+.

I do agree that AMD will make some filler based on Zen3 (OEMs will pretty much oblige them to), but this will probably only be a small speedbump

I doubt there will be much in it, maybe one or two other small tweaks here an there. Idd Dark Hero comes with a huge heatsink on its chipset and and has excellent cooling all round and performance. I feel this X570(s) refresh is a release to keep AiB's happy and have people buy new boards. Releasing a 'new and improved' silent X570 boards will keep peoples eyes on AMD and Ryzen, even when Alderlake releases later this year.

But yeah I can see AMD going for a XT refresh to go against Alderlake.

You can finally pet the dog in Skyrim
https://www.pcgamer.com/you-can-finally-pet-the-dog-in-skyrim/
Is there a dog in a videogame? Well, players damn well better be able to pet that dog, especially since the rise of game-shaming Twitter account Can You Pet The Dog? which catalogues the games in which you can and cannot pet the dog.
Over the past few years, many developers have patched their games to appease Twitter's harsh judgment, but Bethesda has remained unmoved. So a modder has taken the matter into their own hands, as modders have been doing with Bethesda games since the dawn of time.
Pet The Dogs - Animations is a mod that allows you to stoop down and give your favorite mutt a good scratch behind the ears. There are three different animations depending on the friendly dog's position (keyword: friendly—you probably shouldn't try this on angry wolves). Standing, sitting, or lying down, you'll now be able to give your pooch a pat. Lovely.

Prime 2D is a gorgeous sidescrolling take on Metroid Prime, and it’s playable now
https://www.pcgamer.com/prime-2d-is-a-gorgeous-sidescrolling-take-on-metroid-prime-and-its-playable-now/
Metroid Prime was the first 3D Metroid game and it’s still considered a GameCube classic, spawning two sequels and at least one fan attempt to port it to PC. But one team is taking a completely different tack: they’re remaking Metroid Prime as a 2D platformer, in keeping with the style of classic NES and SNES Metroid games.
Dubbed Prime 2D, it’s the work of Team SCU, which has apparently been working on the project since 2004, albeit with some personnel changes along the way, as well as the help of “hundreds of volunteers.” The team issued a free demo of the project late last week, and you can download it here if you’re keen (or you can just watch the video above).
>> It actually looks good.
