Here are all the new cards coming to Hearthstone: Curse of Naxxramas

Comment

Summer is quickly approaching and with it the first expansion to Blizzard’s online collectible card game, Hearthstone. Curse of Naxxramas will add over 30 new cards to the game as well as introduce raids as players venture into the depths of Naxxramas. The raid itself will feature five wings - with the first being free, and the rest requiring gold or real money - which will unlock progressively over the course of five weeks.

We’ve done some detective work and rounded up all of the spoiled cards to date - eleven out of the thirty total - so you can start planning your future decks today.

Sweet. Looking forward to this.

Also, never understood why they never bothered to port over RDR. Could have contracted someone else to do it.

From what I have read the sorce code was a mess and it was a miricle that the game worked at all on any platform. After 6 years of troubled development with years of brutal crunch (12 hour days 6 days a week) with a team that peaked at almost 800 to get it out the door on consoles it was a technical nightmare that they never wanted to touch again. Add to that they got a lot of flack for the mess that GTA IV was on PC. But if say they were porting the game to a newer version of their engine for next gen consoles a PC port would then be trivial.

Warmer War: Company Of Heroes 2 – Western Front Armies

By Adam Smith on June 2nd, 2014 at 11:00 am.

I spent most of the weekend playing Wolfenstein: The New Sequel, which left me anticipating a robotic dog assault for the first thirty seconds of the Oberkommando trailer for Company of Heroes 2 multiplayer expandalone The Western Front Armies. I’m half-convinced that there’s a zombie-robot soldier actually called the Oberkommando in Wolfenstein. Of course, Company of Heroes 2 has a more serious warface than Wolfenstein, even if the two trailers below (one for the US, one for the Oberkommando) do look like they’ve been plucked from a high octane shooter rather than an RTS.

Cretaceous Bodacious: The Stomping Land On Early Access

By Alice O'Connor on June 2nd, 2014 at 2:00 pm.

I’ve never really taken to survival games because, in all honesty, I’d probably choose not to survive in their doomed worlds. Were I to play DayZ, I imagine I’d scavenge a book and a bottle of alcohol disinfectant then enjoy both on a beach before taking a nice long swim in the cold sea. However, a dinosaur world where tribes fight each other atop dinosaurs for the opportunity to eat bigger dinosaurs, that’s a world with purpose.

Open-world dino survival The Stomping Land is now on Steam Early Access, offering that fantasy for £18.99.

Mighty No. 9 is looking solid but uninspired (and very blue)

Tom Sykes at 01:40 on 01 June 2014

The first proper bout of footage for Keiji Inafune's Mighty No. 9 shows that, yes, it looks a lot like a certain Capcom series, but let's put the obvious comparisons to Dino Crisis aside for a moment and focus on the Mega Man creator's latest game. After a wildly successful Kickstarter last year - people really like to put their money behind familiar concepts, huh? - we've been afforded our first non-prototypey glimpse of the platformer in action, and while it's a video that holds few surprises, Mighty No. 9 does look like the sort of safe, largely unambitious game I might enjoy on a rainy day.

Unreal Tournament 3 update removes Gamespy, adds Epic's own server bank

Phil Savage at 22:53 on 02 June 2014

Gamespy is dead. Sort of. A quick check will reveal that, at present, some of the games yet to hack-off the necrotic multiplayer matchmaker are still functional, albeit likely on borrowed time. eSports Titanics and financial icebergs - What ESGN's problems mean for eSport

With staff still waiting for overdue salary and a possible strike looming, the future looks shaky for this much-hyped organization that promised eSports their first sports network.

But the truth is, ESGN’s difficulties say little about the health about eSports and a lot more about the types of ventures eSports attracts. From the first, ESGN were another eSports Field of Dreams. Now, with the promised audience yet to materialize, that dream is in danger. In eSports, reality must always have its due.

Life after BioShock: Ex-Irrational devs found Day for Night Games and tease The Black Glove

The winding down of Irrational Games earlier this year was rather a large surprise. The BioShock developer had seen a slew of successes from System Shock 2 to BioShock Infinite. But Ken Levine wanted to do something new, and that meant a lot of people wouldn’t be sticking around.

Sniper Elite 3: Everything We Know

Comment

Sat on top of a cliff trailing a German officer’s head through my rifle scope I waited for a plane to pass over, a sound loud enough to mask the sound of my shot. As the sound of the plane grew louder I changed my mind, dropped the scope south and fired.

The world slows down as it shows the end of my gun barrel flare and a rifle round flies out the end, quickly crossing the ground between me and the officer. The camera rotates round and I watch in x-ray as the round passes through my new target.

His testicles rupture in slow motion and I’m given an XP bonus for my keen aim.

Sniper Elite 3 aims to be the larger, more intelligent sequel to Sniper Elite V2 but it’s not abandoned what made the series popular.

We’ve been able to download Steam games to any hard drive for quite some time, so the restriction on preloading made zero sense. XCOM Who? – Xenonauts Officially Complete

By Nathan Grayson on June 3rd, 2014 at 8:16 am.

I am glad. Against all odds, Firaxis’ XCOM revival was actually a great turn-based strategy that captured the spirit of the original Gollop games. It wasn’t entirely bereft of blindspots, though. The art style wasn’t super menacing and didn’t allow imagination to fill in the gaps, the game sort of got easier as time went on, tension dissipated over time, etc. Sometimes, you just need a straight-up remake in order to account for everything. In the case of classic X-Com, that game is Xenonauts. Alec has both written and blathered as much before, and really, is there any greater endorsement? Alec hates everything, even rainbows and my youthful naivete. Someday I’ll earn his approval. Maybe if I become turn-based and prominently feature permadeath, he’ll finally love me too.

CCP are "playing with the big boys" to bring Eve Online to TV

Last Manchester Standing: Beyond – Flesh And Blood
