Warner Bros today announced Mortal Kombat X, NetherRealm Studios’ next highly anticipated installment in its legendary, critically acclaimed fighting game franchise that propels the iconic franchise into a new generation. Mortal Kombat X is scheduled for release in 2015 for the PS4, Xbox One, PS3, X360 and PC. Battlefield: Hardline – 10 Minutes Of Beta Gameplay Footage

YouTube’s member ‘Freddy Dancer’ has shared a video, featuring 10 minutes of gameplay footage from the soon-to-go-live beta phase of Battlefield: Hardline. Battlefield: Hardline will be a cops versus thieves game that will be powered by Frostbite 3 engine, will feature both Single-Player and Multiplayer modes, and will feature destructible environments. Fable Anniversary Is Coming To Steam

Lionhead Studios has released a teaser trailer for the PC version of Fable Anniversary. Although we don’t have any specific details about it, we do know that it will hit/support Valve’s distribution service, Steam. Fable Anniversary is basically a HD remake of the first game and comes with an entirely new lighting system, slick new interface, all-new textures, models, achievements and “The Lost Chapters” content. Chemical Brothers: Assassin's Creed Unity DLC could team-up the protagonist with the father of modern chemistry

We still don’t know much about Assassin’s Creed Unity, beyond it being set in Revolutionary France, not even the protagonist’s name, but we do know a bit about some of the pre-order DLC. 

AccessTheAnimus posted a picture from a Gamestop shop that revealed one of the pre-order offers for the next murderous outing in Ubisoft’s series. It’s a bonus mission titled “Chemical Revolution”.

Riot suspends two LCS players for "extremely toxic behaviour"

Riot have suspended two League of Legends players until the end of the year following an investigation of “extremely toxic behaviour”. Both players, Nukeduck and Mithy, are former players of popular team, Ninjas in Pyjamas, who will now need to replace them to continue playing in the Challenger Series.

eSports Titanics and financial icebergs - What ESGN's problems mean for eSport

Last week, OnGamers broke the news that the ultra-ambitious eSports venture ESGN (eSports Global Network) has run into massive financial difficulties after less than a year of operations. With staff still waiting for overdue salary and a possible strike looming, the future looks shaky for this much-hyped organization that promised eSports their first sports network.

But the truth is, ESGN’s difficulties say little about the health about eSports and a lot more about the types of ventures eSports attracts. From the first, ESGN were another eSports Field of Dreams. Now, with the promised audience yet to materialize, that dream is in danger. In eSports, reality must always have its due.

Life after BioShock: Ex-Irrational devs found Day for Night Games and tease The Black Glove

The winding down of Irrational Games earlier this year was rather a large surprise. The BioShock developer had seen a slew of successes from System Shock 2 to BioShock Infinite. But Ken Levine wanted to do something new, and that meant a lot of people wouldn’t be sticking around. 

That might not be such a terrible thing, though, as a group of ex-Irrational folk have banded together to create Day for Night Games, and their first project, The Black Glove, is a game of changing history to improve the work of three artists in the present.

Platforms collide: War Thunder to introduce cross-platform multiplayer soon

Cross-platform multiplayer is an interesting conundrum when PC is involved. War Thunder comes out on PS4 tomorrow in North America, followed by its release in Europe, Russia and Australia on June 5th. Soon after, the universes will collide, and PS4 players will face off against their PC cousins on the ground and in the sky.
