https://www.dsogaming.com/news/mortal-kombat-11-will-be-using-the-denuvo-anti-tamper-tech/
Mortal Kombat 11 releases later this month and its official Steam store page has been recently updated, indicating that this new fighting game will be using the Denuvo anti-tamper tech. As such, MK11 will be yet another fighting game – alongside Tekken 7 and SoulCalibur 6 – that will be using the controversial anti-tamper tech.
Valve's anti-review bomb measures strip 4000+ negative reviews from Borderlands 1 and 2
https://www.pcgamer.com/valves-anti-review-bomb-measures-strip-4000-negative-reviews-from-borderlands-1-and-2/
Valve's efforts to mitigate the impact of Steam review bombs are working thanks to a new system that prevents "off-topic reviews" from affecting a game's review score.
Steam users unhappy at 2K's decision to enter into an exclusivity partnership with the Epic Store for Borderlands 3 have been review-bombing its prequels, Borderlands 1 and 2. A new default filtering system, however, prevents those reviews—which number around 4000 in this case—from being included in the aggregate score.

Tencent have launched their WeGame client outside China
https://www.pcgamer.com/tencent-have-launched-their-wegame-client-outside-china/
Last year Tencent, the Chinese conglomerate who own Riot Games and have holdings in Activision-Blizzard, Ubisoft, and a 40% share in Epic Games, announced they would be rebranding the Tencent Gaming Platform and launching it globally. The Tencent Gaming Platform is their digital storefront and launcher which has 200 million users, but has only been available in China until now. With servers in Hong Kong their new platform, WeGame X, can be accessed by the rest of the world. (The language dropdown is on the top right of that page.)
Right now WeGame X is pretty bare. It's labelled "early access" and there are only 17 games on it, primarily indie games like Chinese Parents, My Time At Portia, and Forts. Larian Studios, Deep Silver, and Hello Games are all listed under "FAMOUS IP" on the front page.

Dolphin emulator for GameCube/Wii games adds netplay server browser
https://www.pcgamer.com/dolphin-emulator-for-gamecubewii-games-adds-netplay-server-browser/
Dolphin is an emulator for GameCube and Wii games that has been going for years and still receives regular updates. The latest adds a server browser so that people playing online can host their own server lobbies, both public and private, and search for games to join. Games like Super Smash Bros. Melee, for instance.
This update also adds a new feature called 'Golf Mode' which removes latency for one player at a time, and can be passed to another player when it's their turn. Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour is the example game for this feature, which is particularly finicky about shot timing. Only GameCube controllers are supported by Golf Mode at the moment.

This mod makes Doom a literal corridor shooter
https://www.pcgamer.com/this-mod-makes-doom-a-literal-corridor-shooter/
"All Doom Levels are Straight Line now" says the description for Linear Doom. "No more mazes." This self-described "jokewad" by modder DeXiaZ released on April 1 takes all of Doom's classic levels and tightens them down into one long corridor. There's enough room to strafe a little so you can still potentially dodge those imp fireballs, but otherwise this is just a straight line run through all of Doom's enemies, weapons, and pickups one after the other. I look forward to seeing the speedruns of this.

Former Valve dev: Steam was killing PC gaming, Epic is fixing it, 30% cut made Valve a lot of money
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/fomer-valve-dev-steam-was-killing-pc-gaming-epic-is-fixing-it-30-cut-made-valve-a-lot-of-money/
A lot has been said about the Epic Games Store and the fact that Epic Games has securing timed-exclusive titles for its digital store. And while the majority of PC gamers are really annoying by this exclusivity deals, a former Valve developer claimed that Steam’s 30% cut was unsustainable and that Epic Games is fixing it.
Please excuse my bad English.
