Yes, we can both agree on that, keys are better; typing is a reflex action afterall.

I bought that keyboard to use for a HTPC, so I could move the pointer while sitting on the sofa,
and thought the numpad was worth a try... boy was I wrong
Now I have the all-in-one wireless from Microsoft.

Never heard about it, I just watched the video - all I have to say is WOW - that interconnectivity of attributes, skills and body type to how you perform in game is exactly what I've been wanting to see in RPGs for as long as I remember action RPG being a thing - Exanima tried some of that, but that project is pretty much abandoned.

Sadly, this is RPG survival game, so I have no interest in it, but I hope some dev will take a note or two from its systems and make actual (preferably fantasy) RPG.

EDIT: Actually, let me embed it here, I think it's very interesting to see, use pause a lot to see all the details.

I like my open world games as brainless and storyless as possible. So this is the opposite of what I'd want. But it's great that it exists and I wish it all the best.

Well, to be honest, that's a bit odd - as long as RPGs existed. attribute/skills, as well as encumbrance, had direct impact on how you perform and what you can or cannot do in game. It wass just that action RPGs lagged severely (and still do) when it comes to implementing those things into gameplay - I'd say to the point that any NBA 2K has better correlation between stats and how your player behaves than any action RPG to this day.

So this is what I'm picking up from SCUM as something that is worth noticing, though, as I said, actual game doesn't interest me at all.

I was hoping that, with today being labor day in the US, there would be less news, but boy, I was wrong. Let's go with a big edition of the news:

Final Fantasy XIV surpasses 14 million registered players
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/final-fantasy-xiv-surpasses-14-million-registered-players/
Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy XIV has expanded further more, passing more than 14 million registered players as of today. Do note though that this figure includes the free trial accounts that have been created all these years. The hit MMO reaches this milestone just as it also celebrates its fifth anniversary—four million new adventurers have journeyed to Eorzea in the past year alone.

GOG's Back to School Sale discounts over 400 games
https://www.pcgamer.com/gogs-back-to-school-sale-discounts-over-400-games/
GOG's Back to School Sale slashes prices on over 400 games. Live now through September 10, expect discounts on loads of games—and a number of extra savings on daily Flash Deals.
With so much on offer, I reckon this sale will be more about searching for your own favourites and reporting back in the comments down south. A quick gander at the GOG website's 'on sale' tab alone, though, does uncover some gems. With 60 percent off The Witcher 3's Game of the Year Edition, for example, is going for $18.03; while the XCOM: Enemy Unknown Complete Pack costs $6.45 with 80 percent off.

>>I'm surprised by two things: 1) So far, there's no free game like its usual on every sale. And 2) There's still the daily deal, today featuring Mages of Mystralia 40% off: https://www.gog.com/game/mages_of_mystralia

On Steam, the daily deal is SpeedRunners, 67% off: https://store.steampowered.com/app/207140/SpeedRunners/

At Fanatical, the Star Deal is Day of Infamy, 73% off for the next 48 hours: https://www.fanatical.com/en/game/day-of-infamy

Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker apparently does not have Denuvo and has already been cracked [UPDATE]
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/naruto-to-boruto-shinobi-striker-apparently-does-not-have-denuvo-and-has-been-already-cracked/
It appears that Bandai Namco has uploaded on Steam a Denuvo-free version of Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker. Although its Steam store page indicates that the game will be using the Denuvo anti-tamper tech, the official initial release does not feature it and as a result of that, the game has already been cracked.
UPDATE: Bandai Namco has released a patch that implemented Denuvo to the game, so it appears the initial Denuvo-free release was a mistake.

Co-op classic Pandemic comes to Steam
https://www.pcgamer.com/co-op-classic-pandemic-comes-to-steam/
Consult your local dispatcher for destinations, one of the world’s most popular cooperative board games has broken out on Steam. As myriad vicious diseases rapidly sicken the world’s population, it’s up to an elite team of disease fighters to slow the spread of the infections, gather samples, and ultimately cure—or eradicate—the plagues. Pandemic is an intensely tactical game with a range of difficulties from ‘kinda hard’ to ‘brutally miserable.’ In the decade since its release the tabletop game has racked up a list of awards longer than my arm and numerous expansions. It takes a place of honor on my best co-op board games list.

Fortnite's storm will damage player-made structures starting in patch 5.40
https://www.pcgamer.com/fortnites-storm-will-damage-player-made-structures-starting-in-patch-540/
A new development update posted today (see above) reveals some of the changes coming to Fortnite in patch 5.40. At the top of the order is that, near the end of a match, the edges of the storm will now damage player-built structures. Epic says that fewer than 10 percent of matches actually make it to a point where this system will kick in, and it's in line with Epic's stated desire to introduce more late game strats that don't involve fevered building.

Watch 20 minutes of Artifact gameplay from PAX
https://www.pcgamer.com/watch-20-minutes-of-artifact-gameplay-from-pax/
Valve has finally, fully revealed its Dota 2-based card game Artifact at PAX, with a video from IGN showing off nearly 20 minutes of uncut gameplay.
The basics are what you'd expect—build decks of heroes, spells, and items, select your cards, and do mana-fueled battle on a colorful, pyrotechnic game board—but it looks to be every bit as complicated as it sounded in our recent preview: A hero and "creeps" in each of three lanes do battle sequentially, after which a "shopping phase," where gold earned from kills can be spent on item cards, takes place.

'We're in a place to invest and focus a lot more on games again,' says Valve

Last Tide is a diving battle royale shooter filled with sharks, now on Steam
https://www.pcgamer.com/last-tide-is-a-diving-battle-royale-shooter-filled-with-sharks-now-on-steam/
The folks at Digital Confectioners took one look at the booming battle royale genre, furrowed their brows, steepled their fingers, and said, "This is great, but it needs more sharks." At least that's how I assume Last Tide was born, an aquatic battle royale shooter set in a shark-filled sea. It launched on Steam Early Access earlier this week for $15.

Capcom's stance on Monster Hunter: World mods is still unclear
https://www.pcgamer.com/capcoms-stance-on-monster-hunter-world-mods-is-still-unclear/
Modders have been hard at work customizing and fine-tuning Monster Hunter: World's PC port, but while modding in excessive patriotism or essential armor transmogs is tempting, many players have been reluctant to use any mods out of fear of being banned. The cosmetic mods we're seeing for World aren't like the paid Street Fighter mods that have drawn Capcom's ire in the past, but World is still a multiplayer game with a vague EULA, so it's unclear what mods Capcom considers harmless.

Rainbow Six Siege Operation Grim Sky will go live on Tuesday
https://www.pcgamer.com/rainbow-six-siege-operation-grim-sky-will-go-live-on-tuesday/
Rainbow Six Siege's Operation Grim Sky update, which adds two new operators, will go live on Tuesday, September 4, Ubisoft has announced.
The two new operators are Maverick, an attacker that can use a blowtorch to make a "murder hole", and Clash, the shooter's first shield-carrying defender. Operation Grim Sky will also rework the Hereford Base map, creating a new, WW2-themed aesthetic. It's more than just a skin, though, with every area overhauled—read about all the changes here.

Phantom Doctrine, the Cold War spy strategy game, is getting mod support
https://www.pcgamer.com/phantom-doctrine-the-cold-war-spy-strategy-game-is-getting-mod-support/
Cold War turn-based strategy game Phantom Doctrine (think XCOM with rougher edges) is getting mod support, developer CreativeForge Games has announced.
Here's hoping that modders can fix some of its major flaws. As Evan said in his review, Phantom Doctrine is occasionally brilliant, but mostly boring because both its enemies and heroes are too simple. Its combat is unbalanced, too: melee takedowns are a one-hit kill, and if you choose the right perks you can basically make your character invisible.

CS:GO gets a free, offline-only edition
https://www.pcgamer.com/csgo-gets-a-free-offline-only-edition/
If you haven't yet played Valve's multiplayer shooter Counter-Strike: Global Offensive then you can now jump in for free—but you'll only be able to fight against bots and spectate games on GOTV.
CS:GO Free Edition came to Steam this week, and it'll be a good starting point for anybody that hasn't already jumped in, giving you a flavour of the mechanics—and a chance to learn the maps—without the pain of getting annihilated in online matches. I'm sure most players that have ever been curious about it will have picked it up for cheap in a sale, but hey, if you haven't, now's your chance for a free taste.

Path of Exile's endless dungeon expansion, Delve, is out now
https://www.pcgamer.com/path-of-exiles-delve-expansion-which-adds-an-endless-dungeon-is-out-now/
Path of Exile's Delve expansion is out now, and it adds a long-abandoned Azurite Mine—an infinite dungeon with a twist.
As long as you stay in the light given off by the Crawler, a vehicle that will accompany you on your spelunk and plot a path through the branching tunnels, then you'll be fine, but step out of the light and you'll start taking serious damage, and risk being ambushed by enemies. The thing is, the best loot is in the darkness, teasing you with its faint glint, so you're constantly balancing risk and reward.

Sick of low-fi, indie Metroidvanias? Don't worry, because Gato Roboto is not one. No sir-ee. It's a 'Cat Mechtroidvania', which is clearly something completely different. Yup.
In all seriousness, it looks very fun. It has cats, a robot mech, black-and-white visuals, and a womp-womp bassline. It's from new studio Doinksoft, and it'll be out at some point next year.

Nuclear Throne developer Vlambeer shows off new bullet hell shooter
https://www.pcgamer.com/nuclear-throne-developer-vlambeer-shows-off-new-bullet-hell-shooter/
Nuclear Throne developer Vlambeer has revealed its next game: a colourful, bullet hell shooter.
According to IGN, it currently uses just three buttons—the arrow keys to move your ship left and right, and the X key to shoot. You don't have control of where your ship aims, but it'll lock on to the nearest enemy and spew out a cone of bullets in that direction. It all takes place on one screen, and you'll be dodging between enemy ships and avoiding bullets all the time.

You'll be crafting weapons and tools, start fires, build camps and set traps for animals.

Haven't played latter...this is literally Theme Hospital 2.0...it's good...but not $30 good. Wait for sale IMO.

I don't care about the hospital stuff anyway. I just want a new Theme Park World.

Wouldn't that be Planet Coaster?

Is Two Point Hospital as good as Stardew Valley?

Depends on who you are.
I'd probably enjoy TPH's single player more than SV.
I'm having fun with the game, and if the price tag isn't too much to swallow (it does seem to be fairly priced), I'd absolutely recommend going for the purchase.
