I'll probably get it somewhere down the line, once it hits a budget price ($30 or so). Looks like a fun Pikmin type game on steroids.

The people who defend Nintendo for making sequels will buy it.
The people who want to see new IPs from Nintendo won't.

butbutbut W101 doesn´t count for a new Nintendo ip because they have to be created by firstparty studios...and Xenoblade doesn´t count because it sounds similar to Xenogears and the eShop games and the other operation Rainfall games don´t count either because *insert idiotic strawman argument here*

See, not a SINGLE new ip since Pikmin !

Pikmin is not a new IP, it's just a reskinned Mario 128.

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

I knew it ! Because Nintendo consoles only get Mario and Zelda games, we can safely conclude that Nintendo´s last new IP was Zelda back in 1986 !!11!one!!

(on a serious note: I was blown away after I found out that the Mario 128 demo heavily inspired the creation of Pikmin, it does makes sense :D )

I'll get it.

if it ever hits the bargain bin sure. but being a Ninty game its price may never change (which is why i skip many Ninty games)

This is exactly why many games that deserves better sales don't get them, because many people sit and wait it to buy it till the price ever drops, or just look for it used. I'm all for used gaming, and thought the efforts to block it were stupid at best. But something needs to be said for actually supporting these kinds of games being made at all, by actually buying them. There's a reason that the market is flooded with fuckin' shooters and whatnot. It's because that's all people buy, en mass.

I'm not directing this comment at anyone specifically, but I do get tired of all the gamers I see who will rush out to pre-order every single "AAA" title that comes down the block, Assassin's Creed, Batman, CoD, Battlefield, GTA, Bioshock, whatever. But many of these same gamers can't be bothered, because of all the money they spend on these "AAA" titles, to actually support games that are different, unique, and god forbid, creative. That actually kind of depresses me.

can totally understand, the industry is being flooded with the same stuff year after year. creativity rarely leads to profit and sales. i am far from somone who only buys the massive AAA games, hell i only have a few AAA games in total. most my games are very niche

What you guys are failing to understand, is that for alot of people those AAA games have already proven themselves. Most people are going to go with what they know and whats safe. its called niche for a reason

OT nope, not a fan of the studio or their games.

i think it looks like a solid title. I wouldn't decide until after it's length is confirmed. If it's 10 or less then i'd budget buy it, but if it's 20hrs or more i'd pay full price. It looks like alot of fun and after watching the trailers it has a definite charm about it. Also looks like it has some interesting play mechanics. Art style is nice and visually appealing. Looking forward to it's release. And for the record, i'm not a fan of power rangers. Lookin at you otakumegane.

I'll probably have forgotten about this game by the time I get a Wii U. :L

The what now?
But seriously, I have not heard of that game.

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

I'm a total cheapo and I can't really justify spending $60 on a game that to me looks "pretty cool" and has a very short campaign, so I'll probably wait until a bit down the line when I can get it cheaper. I'm glad that so many people are hyped for it though. These third party games need to sell well.

The reason why people are looking forward to it is because it's a first party game.

It is?  I though Platinum was totally third party and that this was just an exclusive game.  But I seem to get this wrong a lot, I guess.

Short ? Kamiya said that W101´s campaign will last 15-18 hours in one of those  Nintendo E3 interviews !

Oh hey, I hadn't seen that.  That's better than I expected when he made all those "fun over length" comments.  I'll still probably wait though.
