VGChartz feels more

pro-Xbox One 19 13.97%

pro-PS4 71 52.21%

pro-Wii U 12 8.82%

so absolutely perfectly neutral 19 13.97%

I have no opinion and I w... 15 11.03%

My feeling is, when I read Neogaf there's the same general consensus as you can find on any video game bloc or news site : most people rage about the Xbox One, lots of people are extatic for PS4, often just by sympathy for their policy, and a few community of people supports the Wii U

On VGChartz, and that is independant from the site, the forum or admins (now), I have the feeling there is lots of pro-Xbox One topics trying to justify this and that and this (DRR3 is better than GDDR5, why the DRM is good, why used games are so bad, why...) while there is the normal amount of Wii U topic and less pro-Sony topic.

I'm not saying one is better than the other, nor that I'm pro anything (I just juge by hardware, games and policies) but in a concern for neutrality is it a normal feeling, is it due to the vocal minority doing more pro-Xbox one topic or something else...?

It seems pro-playstation to me what with all the support it gets much like elsewhere now. But maybe there is a loud minority who tried to support Xbox One when it was first announced and even wanted the dodgy policies to continue and now look foolish now that Microsoft back tracked on it. I guess we are more neutral to Xbox now than before.

Xbox Series, PS5 and Switch (+ Many Retro Consoles)

Prediction: Switch 2 will outsell the PS5 by 2030

According to my results, more users are pro sony. Then again the poll might be a bit flawed since I believe even non users can vote, but still. Take it as you want lol

It's really just you.

The perception of most people is hilariously distorted and they really just see what they want to see.
The mod team has been called a bunch of MS, Sony and Nintendo fanboys all at the same time even though it's logically impossible.

I mean the fact that you see less pro-Sony topics than pro-WiiU topics is already a clear sign of that.

this sit is pro-INeedToCompainAboutTheOtherGuysBecauseIAmInsecureAboutEverything mostly.

It's pro whatever console I don't like.

The posting habits of VGC users more or less follow the current trends.

VGC picked up more Sony fans as, big surprise, more users bought PS3s. It helped that as a part of the consumer trend, the PS3 was selling more globally than either the 360 or the Wii. This made VGC look like a slightly pro-Sony site. There were simply more PS3 fans/users and Sony was selling more hardware, which meant more posts for a site pertaining to hardware sales.

Currently, there are some extremely vocal posters who are clearly pro-MS/XB1 and to be quite honest, they sound a bit like the pro-Sony/PS3 posters back when the PS3 was behind the 8 ball in the sales game. The future of the platform was somewhat questionable and there were a lot of defensive posts in response. I feel that currently, there are a lot of defensive XB1 voices that often even have this apologistic tone with regards to the hardware specs, MS' policies, the backpedaling, etc.

But overall, the tone of VGC isn't really pro anything. Perceptions to the contrary are more likely due to selective viewership with regards to threads.
