It's kinda obvious.

Although, i'm not sure whether wii u will be last or not, it depends on how bad microsoft will  do, and how well nintendo, but i'm sure that they will be closer to each other then ps4 in reference to anyone, i think ps4 will sell more then wii u and x1 combined, look at the charts, polls etc..

And gap between nintendo and sony-ms is still pretty huge, so nope, even if devs will come back, wii u won't be multiplatform console.

I'd love to hear your take on why you believe next generation will have PS4 in the lead with Wii U at last place. Right off the bat, PS4 has the least amount of exclusives with the rest of its games being multiplats. PS4 is definitely a great offer and I have no doubt that it could be first place this generation, but there are a lot of other facts to consider such as the fact that PS4 and Xbox One are now nearly indistinguishable and the fact that PC gaming is getting a lot cheaper. Additionally, if Wii U sales start to pick up, then it will get third party games because it's not the Wii where that console literally couldn't run multiplats making the Wii U the best value of all the next-generation consoles.


The PS4 still has the chance of having the lead and based on history if you Sony based on name value alone WW has the higher chance of getting the headstart. If you look at the PS3 and 360 initial sales when they launched the PS3 still outsold the 360's launch while still being $599. 

1) Has the multiplats (Which is the main attraction for the majority of the gamers)

2) Has the cheaper price ( Which is the main attraction and coupled with healthy multiplats equals a healthy start for Sony vs MS)

3) Will have more exclusives in the first year than the Xbox One (which has been recently revealed). Thirty first party games are currently in development and twenty first party exclusives are coming in the first year alone. Second and third party titles are coming so keep your eyes peeled for Gamescom.

4) Most of Sonys top 4 titles for the PS4 are first party so Sony enthusiasts will be buying PS4's for that.

5) Destiny Bonus content for Bungie/MMO fans.

Bad move Sony, you have now destroyed your Eyetoy as 3rd Party and Indie companys wont be developing for a accessory that noone will buy. You made your controller to use the camera now it all seems half assed. Accessroys dont sell. If they dont sell then Developers wont make games for it. And if companys dont program for it then you might aswell shelf the idea.

All for what, a lower price console? Now it feels as if the PS4 is nothing more then a PS3 upgrade.

One thing i thought Sony had over Xbox was there cheaper system with similer Hardware and a Kinect style camera, They seem to have covered all bases, now its just a cheaper System that offers nothing more then your standard games that can be available on anything. WiiU will have innovated games, XB1 will have innovated games, PS4 will not have Innovated games.

Or, I could just vote with my wallet by not buying into Sony's $50 Price gauging over the Xbox One price increase here.

Besides, you have warranty where the costs of sending the console overseas would be silly if the console had a RROD like fault, not to mention the waiting for weeks/months, buying it here in Australia does entitle me to more consumer protection rights.
And, I haven't been able to find out how the power stuff works, whether the Power packs will be universal with just a different cable for the wall socket part or if the cable is not going to be detachable, it's a deal breaker in that regard, you can't exactly go plugging in American 120v stuff into Aussie 240v stuff.

I think a good portion of multiplatform titles will have Kinect features, most of which should be available to PS4 Eye owners aswell. And most first party titles will make sure to include some Eye functionality anyway, so in my opinion there could be quite a lot of PS4Eye support due to the Kinect.

That's certainly possible.  I'd imagine that the same ones complaining about Kinect being forced on us will gladly go purchase a PS Eye at that point and preach about it's value, completely missing the hypocritical irony (see PS+ mp requirement response) ...


That's a lot of maybes and assumptions to make your complaint fit your agenda.

Oh I have no agenda (other than exposing hypocrisy).  What I stated in my original comment is a fact:  not having the PS Eye with every PS4 sold gives developers no clear incentive to invest time and money into using it's features.  It's what has been truthfully stated about every add-on in the history of consoles.

After that I got a response full of "maybes and assumptions" as you called them and responded with some myself.

Truthfully, this story is full of maybes and assumptions to begin with.  Be careful throwing that "agenda" accusation around.

This would be the third generation Sony has had an Eyetoy. Why would expect their tactics to be any different. Sony has always left people with the choice to buy the Eyetoy rather than forcing it down their throats.

Agreed.

It makes zero sense.

This does mean of course that the camera has basically been sent out to die.  It wont see massive adoption and developers cant assume its there for any integration into non camera centric games.  But nobody here will mind that because camera games are shit arent they.... unless they arent on those occasions when it suits.

Those occasions are very rare and far between. Especially in the VGChartz community.
