So that's why you were a bit off these days

Life goes on. If it makes you feel better, you're invited to my house anyday. We can play some Geometric Wars 'till late in the morning.

Aww, you're the best, Wright!
*winks* a-cha!

9 years? please enlighten me how you could break up after that long?

Because I have been with my gf for 2.5 years so far and it is scary to think that even long term relationships such as yours are able to fall apart. I see mine going the distance but stories such as yours make me wonder.

Care to explain what exactly made it end?

Really, are you that surprised? Married couples divorce after any number of long ass years. Don't be scared of breaking up dude, that often results in actions that cause the break up.

I was talking to a random stranger about marriage on line in a store once and he had like 20 yrs. in, I'm going on 14 and we were swapping stories and laughing and shit. I noticed this old ass guy on line behind us smirking and I made a comment to him about how he must think we are rookies and he said he had like 37 yrs. of marriage or something like that. Then he says," It's a long and bumpy road guys". I thought to myself, here is a guy whose been married for a LONG time and he's too old to give a shit now about leaving his wife or whatever but all he could say after all that time is that it's a bumpy road. LOL, he's probably spot on.

lol, I can definitely agree with that. Bumpy road indeed.

I have 84 cents on my Steam account. Can I go ahead and send that total to you? jk... I could perhaps gift you a cheap game on Wednesday. Do you like Civilization? I believe Civ 3 is pretty dang cheap.

I think civ 3 would pretty much make sure I don't find happiness again.

A good way to relieve stress from a breakup is to have stress from a MOBA genre game.

Your steam name doesnt exist you woman ;(

I'll give you a DOTA2 beta key (Respond fast cause it will expire soon :D).

Sorry to hear, but life goes on. Just do you and build yourself. If you build it they will come.

Thanks m8. I think it's an excellent opportunity for us to build ourselves, for sure.

Don't mention it. I broke up with mine about 2 months ago (after 5 years). I came to the realization that we were stagnant and it wasn't fair to either of us trying to stick it out. When you are faced with diminishing returns it is best to cut your losses and invest in something else. The common denominators we had started dissolving over time - now we're like night and day and she is often nagging and bickering. I couldn't marry somebody like that lol I'd go ape shit on her. After a month, whatever feelings I clinged to evaporated. So now I am assessing myself. Was I in love? Was I "in lust"? (as the women say). I don't know, but I do know I am better off and it's best we stay friends - if possible.

These things happen. We are young, capable and not living in China so there's plenty of females out there and plenty of opportunities. Plus, Boston has some boss p****y.

9 fucking years. I was 8 when you started dating.

Seems like we were in a very similar situation. I could've written that exact post. Except, I was definitely in love, just not the right kind of love that makes intimate relationships work.

And you're 100% right about that. All these college girls are ridiculous.

Was it not reciprocal then? Elaborate, if u don't mind. I might have been at one point, but I noticed I loved her more than she loved me at year 2 or 3, so I dropped some of those feelings lol Or at least I trained myself to. That's a dangerous situation to be in - when you're in deeper than the other person. At one point it seemed as if I was diving and she was doggy paddling. I'm not up for that shit. All in or bust.

Seems like you two were on different wave lengths. Well ... at least you can be friends. Mind deleted me on Skype, Twitter, Whatsapp .... everything.
