I think games as we know them will become streamed to all devices, eventually coming to something like "Direct to Brain" (think Holoband from Caprica).
Other branch will be tabletop volumetric display consoles (think Holochess from StarWars).

Joking aside I think after Cloud, then the whole VR things gets a resurgence THEN it's direct to the brain. so...playstation 8 maybe?

No idea on time-frame for the first one...may be as little as 10-15 years, or as many as 50 (if we don't have it in 50 then I'm guessing we annihilated ourselves).
I think we'll see volumetric displays consoles sooner than D2B, tbh.
