It's just the same game, but you keep all Joel upgrades, items etc. aside from the weapons which are put back. It's the only way to max out Joel for the trophy (you need to get to Bills Town a second time, even if collecting all the supplements).

As for the trophies...I haven't finished the game yet so I can't help you sadly...

Do the enemies or combat somehow change? In Arkham City, in NG+ (as well as in Dark/Demon Souls), the enemies are noticably harder in order to balance out your saved experience and upgrade. So is this the case with TLOU? I dont know if I should sart on hard+ or begin from scratch on survivor.

I don't think so. The strategy guide doesn't make reference to it, anyway.

Im going to do Hard, then Survivor, then Survivor + with no deaths/restarts.

no deaths and restarts? Good luck with that :P

Why are you doing it like that?

playing survivor + right now; Joel keeps all his supplements, tool level and weapon upgrades (however Joel doesn't start with all his weapons you'll still have to aquire them through the story) and all supplements and tool points carry over(so say if you had like 40/tool points supplements points and beat the game it will carry over from the very start

also you can customize Ellie and Joel's outfits

Yeah...it should be fun alright! And why not? After two runthroughs I will have hopefully done everything else, so why not do something a bit...different?

Fuck that new game+ shiz. Go to survivor. Then Survivor+.

4 ≈ One

In Uncharted 3, ND changed the requirements for crushing to allow you to unlock it after finishing the game on any difficulty and that has been carried over to the Last of Us. I finished on medium and now have the option for new game plus or survivor

The most efficient way to platinum it is to play any difficulty then survivor then survivor plus. That will unlock all difficulty trophies

As for collectibles, they are linked to your PSN id, so they carry over throughout. Personally, I looked everywhere in my first and got 104 collectibles, so will be using a guide next time

As an aside, I do reccommend the strategy guide. It's a beefy book, well written with in depth maps and hints. As it's my first time through, I'm not using it really but it's nice thumbing through to see what's coming.

Also, some firefly pendants sre almost impossible to spot (I see I missed a couple) so having it there for you to see is a great help.

Actually I was thinking of buying the stategy guide for my survivor playthrough. I wanted to play the game for the first time with as little information as possible, though I did check gamefaqs occasionally.
