So what? Do not change anything to what I said... Also you should really read the complete reply instead of sticking on one of two sentence... It helps a lot if you want to debate. No-disc required and library sharing was just one of the big feature I was expecting... I have 3 kids; all playing on Xbox and we have 4 consoles at home. Now you can still reply like "all of us defending the library sharing are hilarious" etc... But the facts is that not everyone think like you, have the same opinion about certain thing or live in your "own personnal" reality. I greatly advise you to consider other people point of view sometime. |
You do realise this whole sharing thing or family plan is still entirely possible? Their is still digitall content..nothing has changed. The only thing that has changed is MS's stance. They are again CHOOSING not to go ahead with the family plan. Previously they needed the family plan to combat the backlash from the DRM/used games negativity stuff now they don't need it anymore they have cut it.
Main point: Family plan is still 100% possible. In fact everything they spoke about before is completely unaffected by any ot this. The ONLY reason they not saying this is because then it would look seriously bad.

You are right. I'm actually hoping we will have the option for digital content...
But looking of how Microsoft u-turned; I'm losing hopes :(

This has been posted on these forums a lot of times. Here is Major Nelson for instance "CLEARLY" explaining it... He is also claryfing this in other interview... I do not see what is unclear about it :) I'm not going to link all the different videos/sources for you, just Google for it... You know, if you think he is lying or Microsoft are evil liars; I just do not see where this conversation can go honnestly... Because then everything people are stating becomes speculations... |
lol it's not clear guy... Major Nelson makes mistakes... it said that the game can be played only for once per time... after that he said two per time... after that he admited mistake and other guy tried to explain using another way that makes everything more confuse.
MS PR is so confuse that none of the Xbone features are really explainded... any PR says a different thing and everytime they contractid theyselves... seems like even the guys into MS didn't know what was happening.
There is no official document or PR posted in the offcial QA, FAQ or Xbone site.
lol

It seems like he doesn't understand 'minority.' Because that was clearly not the case.

Dude... What can I say. In many interview Microsoft representative explain clearly the check-out/check-in process...
In this video I linked it pretty clear for me and nothing is confusing at all; only the more than one family member playing at the same time but I do not really care about that and I fully expected to buy 3 copies of the game if I wanted my 3 kids to play at the same time...
Look, if you prefer to believe speculations and rumors over that and/or if you do not find it clear; the debate is over :)

Major Nelson also clearly stated DRM would not be something that cpuld be easily programmed out of X1.
Four days before it was removed.
I'm pretty sure MS have done bit of a research no matter the fanboys and journalists and realized how much it would hurt them, before they decided to pull the plug on DRM. (was that the right way to do it is up for debate though)
Besides, I'm not so sure publishers were too happy with that 10 people sharing stuff - while it does sound like great idea for consumers, it seems to me that those 10 people would be buying a lot less new games in total than with the current system.

Fine... you really didn't read ou watched anything official from MS... it is not your fault because there are nothing official... the most close to official is a QA updated yesterday.
Do some people really believe that Microsoft would just go ahead and let 10 people play one game, after they applied this draconian DRM just to prevent game sharing and used game sales... without a catch ?
LOL
