A story of one minority ruining it for the other minority...

The article mostly said it will make Xbox like steam like a PC!! My solution game on a PC and if kinect works on PC like they said it would use that!! I was not going to even consider the bone, but now I am. You cannot satisfy everybody, but I am satisfied.

So what? Do not change anything to what I said...

Also you should really read the complete reply instead of sticking on one of two sentence... It helps a lot if you want to debate.
I also saw your reply about "us" people who think Sharing was good...
As you seem to know a lot about the "industry" and the reality out there, I will give you my exemple, you will certainly bash it anyway but maybe it will give you some insight.

No-disc required and library sharing was just one of the big feature I was expecting... I have 3 kids; all playing on Xbox and we have 4 consoles at home.
I do not think I need to go further and try to explain you why it would be a huge advantage for me.

Now you can still reply like "all of us defending the library sharing are hilarious" etc... But the facts is that not everyone think like you, have the same opinion about certain thing or live in your "own personnal" reality. I greatly advise you to consider other people point of view sometime.

What Ben is trying to say to you is that the Sharing feature is not like you think... it is limited and at the end you will need to buy 3 digital versions of the game... the policies is not like MS hinted for the shared feature.

And it is not thinking... it's works at the retail and have first hand info from everything that happened since Tuesday.

The Share feature was not good like MS will implement it... that's all.

Well, I'm not sure what you are talking about?
I'm expecting to buy 3 copies of Halo for instance if I want my 3 kids to play at the same time.

But I did not see anything from Microsoft saying that we will not be able to share the game (actually they repeated multiple time that and explained the conpect of Check-in/Check-out) between my 3 kids, one playing at a time on my devices...

If Microsoft said or hinted anything different, I would be glad to see the link.

I think what Ben is talking is more the "anto-consumer" part of the 24h check and all that...

The sharing feature is limited like a Trial/Demo... you can only play a limited time (I don't know per day, week or if one part of the game)... at the end if you want to really play the game you will need to buy it.

No source... no confirmation... no certain... that's what I get from the rumors but now nobody will know.

And publishers will never left this feature happen like you imagine.

Sharing with your personal household is how you imagine it.

Sharing with "any 10 family members anywhere"...........

What you are saying is just speculations or rumors.

So far Microsoft clearly stated and explained that you can play the whole game with other family member (Major Nelson, Phil Spencer, etc.).
You can ignore what Microsoft is stating and believe in rumors/speculations if you want; but if Microsoft (who is after the best source for the Xbox One features) is clearly stating that you can play the whole game and it will a check-out/check-in system, I do not see why it should not be true (please no conspiracy theory...)

MS definitely didn't do that (bolded part)... if there are one thing that MS didn't do after the Xbone announce is to clear or explain anything.

Show me what MS said about the sharing feature please.

Pretty funny that the vocal minority seemed to be in the majority when the cheers happened on the Sony press conference. This idea that progress comes at the cost of the rights of the consumer needs to go away.

What microsoft presented us with is not, nor will be the innovation or the future. It needs to be tweaked and you need to give the consumer a choice and not force it down their throats. It just wouldnt ever happen in the form microsoft was trying to do it.

Nothing was lost here. On the contrary. We're now on the right track.

If you think nothing was lost, then either you have no internet connection, or you have no idea what you're talking about. The sharing policy of the XBO would, for many, many gamers, have been FAR better than the ability to trade in used games. I never sell my old games, and I have a fantastic internet connection. For me, and those like me, the XBO was a huge leap forward.

The consumer ALWAYS has a choice. But to consumers, simply not buying a product is not a choice, somehow. No, they must keep things where they are right now. I'm primarily a PC Gamer, and I saw the XBO as the device that would finally really move my gaming habits back to the living room. Well, good work, you get another generation of being looked down on (rightfully) by PC gamers.

This has been posted on these forums a lot of times.

Here is Major Nelson for instance "CLEARLY" explaining it...  He is also claryfing this in other interview... I do not see what is unclear about it :)

I'm not going to link all the different videos/sources for you, just Google for it...

You know, if you think he is lying or Microsoft are evil liars; I just do not see where this conversation can go honnestly... Because then everything people are stating becomes speculations...
