All three consoles have digital only options. I don't see how anyone is limited with this change.

That leads me to think that publishers are very reluctant to opt into a sharing scheme. Which left MS with their backs against the wall with the potential saving grace getting no support.
Loss of family sharing is not really a loss, it was a not yet fully realized idea to make online drm look better. You can't lose something you never had and didn't even had it's fineprint ink dried yet. 10 people sharing their game libraries at will was just too good to be true.

I agree... and read something similar today (I don't know if it was you lol).
Publishers didn't like the Family sharing for sure but they accepted it due the block of used games and DRM on the system... when MS dropped the ball about the used games and DRM the published didn't accepted the Family sharing anymore.
Makes sense.
But MS can do that with games published buy themselves yet.

MS started adding free games to Gold members, starting this month. The first one being Fable III. These games are yours to keep. If you lose Gold, it's still in your library.

I can't share my digital copy now though can I, this change sucks ass. The console lost a lot of useful features for me and gave me nothing in return (I haven't bought or sold a used game for 6 years).
at least i have an option of digital or disc, used, and rent games. all of a sudden its asking the world. its amaizing sometimes. truely.
sometimes all you can do is sit back and say... really?.....

Five games per month for a year is 60 games of varying quality. That's less than $1 a game since PS is only $50. Even better if you purchase it when they're doing the three month bonus. Even when it does lapse. PS+ users knew the deal from the start. You only get to use these while you're on PS+. Since I'm getting as many games as I get for dirt cheap, doesn't bother me since I started the service knowing what would happen when I stopped paying. I'm paying to rent these games and continuously getting more for that one fee.
If the PS3 PSN servers eventually are going to be shut down, there's illegal means to continue playing the games through PS+ long after they've expired, if I feel like getting CFW on my PS3.

Yes you can. MSony both stated that you'll be able to have your respective ID sync'd to multiple consoles. Probably something like 3 or 5, but its still possible.
Additionally, the share 10 wouldn't have been simultaneous so people are clearly overreacting to a "lost" feature that wasn't even disclosed fully and technically not much different than sharing a disc now. (obviously a bit less convienant as you have to actually pass around the disc, but it can be with 50 friends vs 10)
