Both are open world right?

Division looks great, though i am bored of stranded third person gunplay.

Watch the trailer again, it's anything but standard!

Edit: I read your post wrong! NVM!!

zzzz auto correct -.-

I ment standard :p, and i watched it a couple of times, other then the graphics and the atmosphere i find it lacking.

The atmosphere? The whole concept looks intriging to me. I'm glad it isn't coming out till 2014! Hopefully they make sure it's finished and by then, more playerz!!

Some key differences for you to consider:

1) Second Son is a launch window title, the Devision is likely fall 2014.

2) Second son has a lot more going on, from large scale destructable environments, crazy particle effects and aerial transversal which requires greater draw distances. All at a rock solid frame rate. Its unfair to compare it to a very grounded 3rd person FPS.

All the below is in-game by the way.

I dont dispute that SS has same graphical prowess as to The division.. what i really mean is art design and stuff, SS has high res texture and great draw distance, but what i meant is those textures dont show trace of eroison.. its just pitch clean, seems like every thing has been freshly painted.. compare the cars between the two.. in infamous they look like as if they freshly off from the showroom

What if they are freshly from the showroom :D

For what I can tell SS plays in a living city and those Taxis may be totaly new :)

And the Division plays in a warzone.

can't compare these two :D

well no doubt the graphics are damn good and animations 2nd to none, i just hope there was more going on in terms of art direction.. (i hope that what its called).. but i assume we hardly seen much of the city in SS it was just some center in the gameplay, and that space needle in the opening shot in gameplay looked great and in fact photorealistic, But I hope SP dont over do the photorealism, coz by the looks of the gameplay they are going overboard with it.. but again i assume this is alpha footage and it will look a lot different by the end of the year.

I think you have to take the scale of Second Son into consideration.

The infamous game's have features massive open worlds where players can travel quickly between one location and another.

Maintaining the level of graphics seen in the Division with the kind of world we see in the infamous series may be impossible and no doubt much harder.

This is the Game of Thrones

Where you either win

or you DIE

Concept yes, but unless the game has an amazing story(which as an mmo i don' think it will) i play games for its basic gameplay. It does have some rpg elements with the equipments, skills and weapons but i find third person gunplay even worse when you have health bars.

This game reminds me of Destiny, very nice world, cool features, but wow the gameplay and gunplay looked boring and dull.

The Division looks phenomenal. The environments are incredibly rich. Second Son looks too clean like you said, as does every other PS4 Exclusive except maybe Killzone.

Infamous is a dead IP. I have no idea what made Sony make another one, but as far as graphics go, it looks fantastic. Division looks impressive too, but I doubt what you saw was console gameplay.

Your avatar is the only thing that makes reading your posts bearable.

Infamous is not dead. It's a small studio making games that sell 1.5mil +. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say they both made a healthy profit. And they are also two of the best games of this gen in my opinion.

the division is for sure more visually stunning but like other said i think infamous had to put some power into other things like all those destructable environments and traversable environments.

either way, my main complaint with I:SS isn't the technical side of the graphics but rather the really clean aesthetic. i liked the kind of cartoony look of the previous games. this is a superhero franchise. something a bit more fantastic suits it imo.
