Advertising seems strong, at least in Germay, so I think it's the same in UK. It's good to see a AAA-game getting decent sales.

If it didn't we might as well shut down the reviewing industry.

Why?

What would be the point of reviewing, if a game with an absurd number of 100% scores in a mainstream genre and aesthetic,  bombed?

Solid game.

Very deserving! All round just an incredible game.

indeed, one of the biggest ad campaigns i ever saw in the last years with all the "extra movie on maxdome" and whatever tlou ads. i really wonder how german numbers will look like.

i hope it will be a huge success, i would rather like to see more tlou and a new ip as uncharted and a new ip. i like uncharted but it's  the same with gears of war, i would like to see those franchises getting a break for some years.

This was kinda expected after large media push and plenty of advertising.

It wouldn't be the first time that a game doesn't have good sales while reviewers liked the game.

Weird cause in Poland there is barely any media push for the game, or I at least don't see any. I know the "evolution" commercial was fully localised, but I have never seen it in TV, I wasn't in cinema for a couple of weeks so I don't know if there were any commercials in cinemas. No posters in Warsaw or whatsoever.

And we usually got pretty big push in mass media since 2011 for big releases like Uncharted 3 or Resistance 3, the Vita or during the holidays.

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!

Well, when the first UC was released, there were also way less PS3-owners...

I'm not quite sure why you're telling me that, but okay.

I'm not sure if you read what you posted, but okay:

"The Last of Us' opening tally was a whopping five times greater than the original Uncharted."

Well the point here is that reviewers didn't simply 'like' the game, they loved it. Also TLOU is from a famed developer and of an astoundingly successful genre. I think that's what he is trying to say here.
