Is there an obsession to want to do an FPS where you pilot a mech, or a desire for the ONE to have NO exclusives?

A day later, the petition has only 61 signatures.
I'm glad so few people care about this game. Destiny looks better, anyway.

The one to have no exclusives. Every time a third party dev. makes a xbox exclusive, every sony fanboy is on the interwebz protesting and claiming it will come to playstation the messiah of gaming.

If timed exclusive then it will come, again the petition itself is pointless, deal has been inked already. We'll either see this in one year or not at all. Neither the PS4 or the Xbone will be able to completely dominate the gaming scene in 1 year and the PS3 is already an established powerhouse. |
Now I get what you mean, weather or not it comes to PS4 or not, it's already decided behind closed doors.
LOL, yea, that's why I think TitanFall won't be a One exclusive. My question is, will they port the 360 version to PS3 as well?
What really shocked me is that Dead Rising 3 will likely stay exclusive. It's being published by Microsoft, and that kinda seals the deal. Might come out on PC, but like Mass Effect 1, I don't think we'll see it on PS4.

I hope it does. Consoles need a value compared to competition. Sony secures games, MS does this, too. Nothing wrong with it.

Yea, true, and Microsoft needs a game like this to be relevant in Japan. Still, Capcom could very make a multiplatform Dead Rising 4, and.....well this series will be all over the place. 360/Wii for 1, 360/PS3 for 2, One/PC? for 3, etc.

Of course they can. I think decisions for a second wave of AAA-games by 3rd-party will depend on the success of the next-gen-consoles. And of course any 3rd-party-exclusive deal means nothing in the future. Look what Square did - once Nintendo (those were the good times), than Sony (started good, then...), then multi-plat (iOS, Android, Sony, MS) and it did no good for them and us. But I think that's the most extreme example.

Square had a good reason to move between those 3 brands. I mean Squaresoft did originally try to make FFVII for N64, but when they had troubles and Nintendo just said "deal with it" they did. FF going multiplatform is a smart financial move too because Sony didn't really help with publishing costs that much when FF was exclusive. FFXIII sold better then FFXII because it was MP, you can't blame the shrinking of FF sales on SE going MP.
FF selling less and less is happening for multiple reasons. 1st, Japanese gamers are switching to handheld consoles (DQ IX outsold DQVII), 2nd Japanese studios follow seniority, so tired old hags are still designing games, when bring up and comers are being ignored, and 3rd the FF series has in general gotten worse, and is running out of original idea's.
Anyway, with Dead Rising, there is a good chance that it will switch status within a console gen, and I just don't like that. I know studios can do this, but it's a bit of a slap towards gamers. Sometimes, I get it, like in the case of Mass Effect where EA bought the rights to produce the game, but for this...Oh well, I still haven't beaten Dead Rising 1 or even played 2 LOL.

Not neccessarily. Maybe MS publishing the game was part of the deal for the exclusive (capcom make the game and MS pay the money for distribution). Whatever the case, I do get that Japanese developer tend to be more open towards platform exclusive games.
Edit: This PS3 version is questionable, I guess it all comes down to how sharplu software sale for current gen decline, again its EA, if there is money they will make it happen.

Back in its day, Sony fanboys made petitions so that Square Enix and Capcom wouldn't release Final Fantasy XIII and Devil May Cry on a Microsoft console. Nowadays, they are making a petition so that a Microsoft IP (I think, correct me if I'm mistaken) is released on a Sony console too.
I make the comment just for the laughs, not serious or anything. If they want the game, I say give it to them too.
