I still think the interviewer here confused the question and get an answer to the wrong/confused question. He kept wording it as "Can two family members play the game at the same time" or other similar variations. He did not really explain the scenario correctly of "I buy the game, share it with my dad, can we both play at the same time?" He never got a chance to finish the example and so I think this question got all screwed up.
Yes, only 1 of your 10 family members can play your shared game at at time. This was never disputed.
However, from everything MS has said so far, you (as the original purchaser) can always play your game, regardless of if someone is playing your shared copy.
That would imply that yes, I could buy a game and my friend could play with me playing my shared copy, at the same time.
