Looks like snaking might be a problem, hope they fix that on the final release.

Other than this looks really good, first MK game I have truly been excited about.

Okay, now that I've watched it:

Snaking is back? Yuck.

Bikes don't have a different boost system than karts? What the hell is the point, then?

And this is another problem with having multiple threads. I have to explaun things over and over! xP

That "snaking" you saw has always been there, in MKWii and in MK7. However with power boosting being automatic rather than manual, you don't gain any speed by doing it, infact it's slower than just going straight. The only real purpose to doing it, atleast in MK7, is to bang around lighter karts at the very beginning of a race while you're in a big heavy kart. I usually use the smallest n lightest karts, so I definitely hate people that do that lol.

As for Bikes, the point is to keep the game balanced. Inward drifting and wheelies made Bikes OP in MKWii, so those features had to be removed. There's still the stat difference though, being that Bikes are generally slower n lighter but more agile and accelerate better than Karts. Plus they look different and will have their own customizations. More vehicle variety is always good me thinks.

I believe I already posted these in the MK8 thread but whatever.

You did!

@Curl-6; of course it will. All Mario Kart games are extremely popular and always reach to many sectors of the Video Game community. Even Mario Kart: Double Dash sold well.

Yeah, I also noticed how the guy "snaked" for a while.

lol not true, and new threads with outdated information you mean. Official threads also have all the info in one place, rather than broken up into a billion threads.

Btw, what does arcadey mean?

Besides the Vita thread and what you and Kaizar do in the nintendomination thread, what official threads are you referrring to? The best way to get information out is in a new thread. It is still in latest topics and on the front page. Most to not bother to look for official threads or dig through them to find what they are looking for.

NinPie's MK8 thread. I would post a link but too much of a hassle while I'm on my 3DS. Official threads usually get posted in regularly so they will appear up top, and their titles can be updated with the latest news.

Ok, so what does that have to with Bikes lol?

It looks awesome.

Awesome tracks, awesome graphics, awesome everything.
I want it now, I can't believe I'm this hyped for a Mario Kart game. They better put that demo online soon .

I will spend so many hours online in this game :D

I know they said this for MK7, and it definitely feels like boosting isn't too easy and you can't snake in that game, but look at Donkey Kong 3:40. Sure seems to be getting a lot of boosts really quickly on a straight. It's hard to imagine he'd be going faster if he wasn't boosting.

I see your point on bike boosting, but I think we'll have to agree to disagree on what constitutes "variety."

Hmm, now that I look at it again, you could be right. I'll be sure to test this out tomorrow if I can. If it is legit snaking, there's no way it'll be in final game. All they have to do is increase how long you have to hold a drift for before you get a boost, so easy fix. Also, I don't know how one can disagree with many options and possibilitys = variety, but ok lol. Btw, love the avatar! ^_^

Looks mighty fine. Looking forward to investing another 1000 hours or so into this game!
