I guess my point is that using a bike model for something that drives just like a kart with tweaked stats doesn't mean as much as driving a vehicle which actually uses a different set of game mechanics, such as the extra risk and reward that wheelie boosting offered. It's superficial. They've just given the light kart models two wheels instead of four.

The biggest problem I have with official threads = mess.

There is a new thread title every week or whatever but no way to jump to page number that refers to the updated discussion .

If people would actually say when they updated the thread title and what page the NEW discussion started.

EXAMPLE:
Original thread title: Mario Kart 8 announced! (thread begin) March 1st
1st update: Mario Kart 8 off-screen footage online (page 2) March 22th
2nd update: Mario Kart 8 direct footage (page 99) April 14th
3rd update: Mario Kart 8 OUT NOW (page 2000) January 2nd

Everything would be easier. 

The first post should be used as INDEX the second post should be used for all the media.

Bikes have always played the same as Karts. Those features simply made them better at it. No change in gameplay mechanics. Wheelies just make them faster, and inward bikes make them drift better. Going fast and drifting aren't new lol.

Well there's a button that let's you jump to the last page, where the latest headlines are likely being discussed, and if you missed out on anything you can always just ask, but eh I sorta kinda see where you're comming from. Besides, it's not like anything I or anyone says will keep people from making any kind of threads. :L
