No, but I haven't died much (maybe 2 or 3 times, and in the same stage), so where the checkpoints are isn't too clear to me. It does lack meaningful death, but supplies being so low, the need to scavenge and actually having to use various methods of combat makes for an effective element of survival.

What difficulty are you playing on?

i was absolutely in love with it... then i got an autosave glitch. guess i will take a break and come back to it tomorrow. losing an hour progress isnt fun

So from your other posts it doesn't seem like it is too challenging, but equally not too easy, good! I just played some Gears and even on hardcore I basically never died

You guys are killing me man, I never Pre ordered it so I've got to wait till tomorrow when I can go to a shop to pick it up! But reading your first impressions of the game is getting me all super hyped!

Playing on hard. It's pretty hard, but you will manage usually with 1-2 deads. 

Shooting humans is pretty easy though. Clickers on the other hand are hard to hit :L but the shotguns solve it easely^^

anybody having problems with the game saving? it keeps saying autosaving on the menu and im unable to select save game manually because of it. I dont wont to turn it off and have to start over, i will be well f'd off if i have to.

yeah your fucked. happened to me too. autosave glitch has it perma autosaving so you can never save, its utter bs
