Its in my top two with the Dark Knight no Marvel movies shall pass...not even Avengers. One of the greatest comic book movies I've ever seen. Greatest last fight scene in a super hero movie.

What about the fight scene with Faora and the other guy...that was insane!

All I have to say is now we know who is meant to direct the Dragon Ball Z movie. If they add Doomsday to any of the other Superman movies omg....the earth will explode.

Cool! I'm not the only one who thought of DBZ after seeing this movie! The whole space pod in the beginning brought up DBZ and I couldn't stop thinking about it every time there was an action scene. IMO, this movie had the best super hero action I've ever seen. They just seemed so powerful. It was so Epic. Exactly how I'd imagine a live action DBZ film to be.

I think it might pass Iron Man 3 WW...

I can see the Dragonball movies being like the new Star Trek movies.....by that I mean, where the first one sucks, but the sequels are good.

I also think the first DragonBall movie was like the first Super Mario bros. movie, where there are a million signs of Dragonball canon that not that many people picked up on:

For instance, the Dino eggs at the beginning of Dragonball Evolution, and also Kame's House in the middle of a crater which will clearly get filled with water because Roshi wouldn't sell his house to whoever is making a big lake in the middle of the Fi, sI they will just make it around his house LOL.

People don't realize just how canon both Super Mario Bros. live action movie & Dragonball Evolution was.

I got a Super Mario Bros. movie 2 thread that shows how canon the first movie was to the video games & comics & cartoon in the bottom of the OP. (which I just recently added)

I hope the red ribbon army & tree of might sagas will be in the 3D sequel. 3D increases the chances of them probably making a sequel after all.

I wasn't surprise to hear that they already had a script finish for the sequel before the first movie was release. And after watching the first movie, well it seems that Dragonball evolution sequel was going to do red ribbon army because of how they meet Yamcha in the first movie (very canon).

EDIT:

that shapeshifter was that shapeshifting cat from Dragonball (introduce before Z).

Anyways I could go on about plenty of other un-notice canon in Dragonball Evolution.

Will end up making over $600 million eventually even with poor legs overseas gross should overtake domestic gross once we get new numbers on Monday since it was released in more markets.

Will watch it eventually but just going by the trailers it looks miles better then Superman Returns which really wasn't that good I don't know why most critics liked that movie.

I keep getting people who said they did not like it that much. Poor attention spans I guess. So maybe word of mouth will not be as big as i thought. I certainly did tell everyone it was great.

I agree on those people having poor attention spans.

Its like how they couldn't follow Pirates of the Caribbean 2, LOL but true.

It's kind of hard to get hyped when SO many comic book films have been shit. The X-Men films weren't bad FILMS (well the first two weren't), but to a long-time old school X-men fan, they were terrible X-MEN films. The Fantastic Four movies were garbage. I actually liked the first Hulk film, but thought the second was horribly dull. The Spider-Man trilogy was, for the most part, great (aside from a couple of unnecessary issues that 3 had), but I had zero interest in "The Amazing Spider-Man"....rebooting a franchise RIGHT after a trilogy finishes is a really crap move, in my opinion. Thor was decent, I have no idea what the second will be like. Same with Captain America.

Iron Man 1 was surprisingly good, but 2 was dull and 3 was outright nonsense, at least in the story department. Avengers surprised me a lot and I'm REALLY hoping 2 doesn't let me down, but I'm not gonna hold me breath. The first Ghost Rider was okay, but the second was one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Same with the Punisher. Daredevil, the director's cut at least, was decent, but Elektra was absolute shit. Superman Returns wasn't BAD, but it was terribly boring and dragged on. Just didn't seem like Superman, too much lame attempt at drama. The first two Bale Batman films were very solid, but 3 just absolutely shit the bed in every way possible. One of the worst sequels I've ever seen, to anything.

Green Lantern was...............yeah. The Wolverine and new "X-Men" films aren't even worth talking about. So yeah. It's fair to say that my enthusiasm for The Man of Steel isn't very high. I doubt I'll even bother seeing it in theaters. I might catch it on video and it MIGHT surprise me. But honestly, I'm not expecting much. The trailer certainly didn't make me go "MAN that looks good!". So.....................yup.

I agree, there have been some bad ones out there. But when you have a good team like we had with Superman, you just have to hope that all will be well and take a chance. The last Superman really had not chance at all to be liked.

I think that word of mouth will push this to a billion.

Nice to see all those 3D movies on that list. There must be at least 5.

I don't see Jurassic Park 3D but that came out on April 5th.

Saw it in IMAX 3D.

I suggest you do the same.

Superman Returns was better... which is a little sad because Returns was not very good.  But, for all its faults, the people working on Returns understood that they were in fact making a Superman movie.

I wrote a review on Man of Steel 3D IMAX:

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=154457&page=22

It doesn't spoil anything, even though you might think it does, if you haven't seen it yet.

I can say some more things about the movie without spoiling it, like; there's a scene where Superman kills a lot of unborn babies. I still didn't spoil anything at all, which you already know if you already saw the movie.
