I don't like it very much. It looks pretty bland IMO. Reusing an overworld exactly from ALTTP is very lazy. Minimal excitement for this game.

What does that mean? They using one world from ALTTP and one new world (and link them together)?

lol I don't know. I'm just trying to figure out the title of the game "a link between worlds", and since you implied one overworld is reused from ALTTP I assumed there's a new world created for this new game, and the two worlds are linked.

So tell me how it works.

if they launch another zelda themed 3ds with this game i'll be literally forced to own two 3ds

I'm so stoked for this game. I really loved the first one. however wish you could buy on the WiiU or can you and I'm not aware of it.

All right.

But how deep is it and how long will it take to play through, compared to console Zeldas?

Do you think it will be frustrating like Ocarina of Time, where it's often very hard to find stuff you need to advance the story, and which has a few difficult puzzles?

I would say it's just as deep as a 3D Zelda and probably take about half the time to play through (15-20 hours compared to 30-40 hours). Mainly because there won't be an overabundance of cutscenes and dialogues, and less time spent for travelling on the overworld. Basically, the less interesting parts of the game will be greatly reduced compared to a 3D Zelda.

If this game gets done right, it has a good chance to be at least a bit frustrating for you. Not so much because of stuff that is hard to find or difficult puzzles, but rather because that type of game is giving you trouble. I mean, you consider NSMB2 a difficult game and old school Zelda also demands solid hand-eye coordination. Nothing that can't be overcome with some practice though.

Solid hand-eye coordination? Pff!

I do have problems with calculating the movement path when characters jump, so it takes a lot of focus to avoid failure and death.

Zelda luckily ain't a platformer though.

Are you excited for this game, and HD Wind Walker for that matter?

I definitely appreciate that some people prefer the top down style or just want some divergence between console/handheld zelda, but I was hoping for a 3D sequel in the vein of Ocarina of time. Same artstyle, same N64 graphics but with a link to the pasts character design for Link.

Glad they moved away from the Wink Waker Link, I think he's been milked now.

Majora's Mask already exists, though.

Alttp never really got a true sequel. Link's Awakening was hardly anything like it (a good thing, imo).
