I don't want Microsoft out of the industry, I just don't want them leading it since they clearly aren't very consumer friendly.

Lol, a big and fat +1 to you :D
Not out of the industry, but I want them to fail miserably this time around to humble them and hopefully learn to respect their user base instead of trying to exploit them.
iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

I find the anti-consumer reasons to be lame excuses for wanting someone out of the industry.
Let consumers decide if they are happy with Microsoft's offerings at the cost of DRM. They can vote for themselves with their purchases. If they are fine with Microsoft's product then they just have a different opinion on the value of a console. If there are enough of these people and Microsoft makes profit appealing to them, then I say: let them be. They seem to be in a mutually happy relationship. Who are you to destroy that relationship?
Just use your money to vote for something else and form a relationship with a provider that caters more to your tastes.
Competition, as in two, is good enough. The lesser consoles available on the market , the better it is for consumers to get all the games. For me last gen it was a bit of a pain owning all 3 consoles. 2 would be perfect. The way I look at it, we could do w/o one that's the most similar to another. M$ & Sony seem to be clones, so pick the one that's most consumer friendly (Sony) and its a wrap.
Nothing personal at all for me, just concerned about convenience & $$$.

I would say MS just because of the BS they're doing with the XB1
but competition do keep them in check, and hopefully don't get to complacent and start doing whatever they want...can ypu imagine if MS XB1 was the only way to game? or Sony kept releasing high priced consoles? *shudders*
MS needs to go away because they're out of touch with the market and they will never get the true love from the masses. Their fans will always be a suffering minority and punched at.
MS needs to be replaced with a stronger player that is able to take on Sony for real.

Why not let the actual market decide if they want Microsoft to exist? Minority or not, it's a stretch to say their fans are suffering if they decided to purchase their product. If a sufficient amount of consumers are happy with Microsoft's offerings and Microsoft is making money, then why would you want to end this?
