Why is that a problem? They practically saved this industry back in the day, people seem to forget that. If it weren't for the NES coming out from 1983 to 1985, we would all be gaming on PC and it wouldn't be as popular as it is today

There are those who truly belive that marketshare is a known and limited quantity, with Nintendo wasting valuable space in this bullshit allocation. Things were going well for these folk until 2005-2006, when it seemed as though they couldn't enjoy their things without pissing on those who enjoyed other things. Then Nintendo did them a favour, and gave them a little hope from 2011 onwards. For some reason, Nintendo not being dead yet pisses these people off to no end. I really can't explain that, but it's funny.

Making sense is not a requirment to make posts on the interwebz. VGC isn't an exception.

This baffles me to no end and in a way I find it ironicly funny! Lol

Prior to Wii, I stopped being a bloody NintendoFanboy and really looked at the industry as a whole, saw it shrinking on all fronts. I was even skeptical at the Wii between the reveal and launch, thinking to myself that the gaming industry is going to implode in 10 years at the time. Seeing that gaming will not be the first/important thing in a "gaming" industry. .  .

Cripes, I even thought half way in the 7th gen would be my last ride for gaming, before I even tried out the Wii. And I'm speaking in way that gaming is seen as an expensive electronic "toy" to me.

Put yourself in the shoes of Activision and EA CEOs at the time. Home consoles are nearly dead, PC age is booming. Home consoles are closed platforms*, smaller margin, PCs are open, 'do whatever you want' platforms, bigger margin. What would you choose? Hate is justified.

*Well, at least NES draconian policies for publishers, which ironically were aimed to prevent another crash. Atari is another story.

And you had that talk with Sega back in the day, on how awesome it would be for Sega stuff to go multiplatform.

You have that talk about pretty much every company...Like some Xbox fans want a last of us,uncharted on xbox so they don't have to get a PS3...Many of my friends talk about wanting halo on Sony so they don't have to get a Xbox.

I agree that they should leave the hardware business, not the handheld business ofcourse. They can make more money and keep pleasing the fans. Even the most die hard nintendo fans dont buy the wii or wiiU for the hardware but for the games. No one wants them to die that would be retarded. 

No, I don't think any console will come close to 100mil. I say 65-70mil for the PS4, still winning the gen at that thoufh. But narrowly.
