The trailer really showed the WiiU is above the PS360, no doubt. Graphics were stunning.

No PS3 exclusives still look better than this, gap is closing though.

I agree ps3 exclusives and halo 4 look much better to me, red dead look better to me also.

Agreed, Halo 4 looks stunning and so does the Last of Us, they certainly look better than this game but the draw distance in this game is much farther.

X isn't impressivie visually maybe it's because on Nintendo graphically inferior games have just become the norm and now it makes this game look like the Wii U's Uncharted. However I couldn't care less about the graphics the game looks awesome to play regardless what it looks like.

It's visually impressive because it's enormous in scale, highly detailed, but most importantly, has great art direction. I'd be impressed by this on any platform, being on a Nintendo system has nothing to do with it.

And no PS3 exclusive I've seen can match this, not even The Last of Us.

The Draw distance is above the PS3 but the Last Of Us, Uncharted and Beyond: Two Souls look visually far better.

Right, because those games focus the PS3's power in areas that X probably shouldn't. Namely the character models and 3D foliage are better in TLOU and Beyond, as well as textures in general. Whether or not one is technically superior than another is immaterial - it's best to compare the open-world games on each platform.

X looks great but more then anything, I hope it plays just like Xenoblade because I can't imagine a new battle system working especially with enemies as large as the video displayed. I am disappointed that we didn't get to see the mechs in battle but everything else looked more then fine.

The battle system is exactly like Xenoblade (but better). You can tell this from the first trailer.

Also the people who said "yeah not impressed" probably haven't even played a Monolith Soft game. Graphics aren't the draw here, though they look good.

Yeah, they even made Xenoblade look good.. and now this :)
it is a great time to be a gamer that's for sure!

Anyone saying that Red Dead or any other already-released PS360 open-world game looks better... I just don't know what to say.

The Last of Us and Halo 4 are a faulty comparision too. Try to keep comparisons in remotely the same genre, people.

Though I must admit, both games use 2D foliage quite a bit. However, this is common in most open-world titles with a non-tree focus.

you just proved my point, the lighting in red dead is dynamic, the lighting is in X is static, RDR has a huge advantage in lighting, and red dead uses mostly alpha textues on its foilage, unlike x.

The trade-off is that there is much more foliage in X than Red Dead. Either way, the 2D foliage does nothing to detract from the experience.

As for dynamic lighting, I'll take a look at some more screenshots for comparision, but X does have quite good shadows. It doesn't appear that every object in Red Dead has a shadow, even, unless my eyes are playing tricks on me. Or it could be that since X's foliage isn't as sparse, it's easier to hide a lack of a shadow.

every object in RDR has  shadows and yes 2d foliage is a distaction, when you get close to them they look like cardboard cut outs, anothere thing 2d foilage is not taxing you can have have as much as you want even the 1st wii can be good at it.

Hmm, I must be missing something. That RDR pic you posted semed to have many objects with missing shadows in it, unless those beloved alpha-textured sprites aren't supposed to have any.

If anything, that's a distraction.

go play the game every object reflects realisticly http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pROWml_4sYQ here is proof, you think X looks better thats fine by, but some of u guys seem to have a problem with me because i think RDR looks better, when i gave clear reasons to why i think looks better.

Nothing wrong with thinking that RDR looks better, because a lot of that comes down to taste. Some people might find RDR's environments bland is comparison to X's. Some will see it the other way.

I'm not so sure how anyone can say it's a more technically advanced game, especially given X's much longer draw distances. Assuming that nothing goes particularly wrong with pop-in and loading once X is released (should be quite a feat with those fast-moving vehicles), the only real rival on PS360 I see is GTAV, a game with a much bigger budget and longer development time. Even if X doesn't end up topping that, I can't deny that Monolith knows how to squeeze a system.

well as you can see the lighting is clealry more advanced in RDR and the the foilage is mostly using alpha textures, i'm not sure why anybody saying rdr is more advanced boggles your mind, and also we should wait till we have a good quality gameplay footage.

The Point I am trying to make is the graphics are old by PS3 and 360 standards, it's not impressive looking in the graphics region because we have PS3 games that look better than this but for argument sakes if we put FF13-2 against X, they visuall difference is minimal.

You give evidence that RDR is more advanced in some areas without acknoledging that X is superior in others. If you want to say RDR looks better, I don't have a problem with that. But to prove that it's more technologically advanced, you're going to need quite a lot more details, buddy.

I'm not talking about the visual difference speficically. The nitty-gritty technical differences set X apart from nearly every PS360 game ever released.
