49 is enough, its the inclusions that bother me... No one asked for purin, rob, dr mario, dark pit, wii fit trainer, ganondorf clone, toon link, clone, that marth girl clone... Terrible and lazy choises..

and the way this game has been teased for so long, with pic of the day is unnaceptable... Id much prefer the zelda way, short trailer, not giving away too much, and then release it.. He has been trolling the advertising sector, trolling the fans, and delivering a clone of a game...

i find the advertising he has used for this game totally unacceptable and exploitative... He deserved the roster leak for treating a product in such a way.     And zero suit and sheik didnt have their own slots back in dem days, so 47 if compared to brawl.

Just because you don't like certain characters doesn't mean nobody asked for them. For instance, I'm very excited to play as Wii Fit Trainer and R.O.B. was one of my characters in Brawl so I'm happy to see him back.

I find the "Post of the Day" method of revealing information to be very good marketing. I wish more game developpers did the same. It keeps interest in the game alive throughout the development phase. I can understand the disappointment of some characters not making the cut but to call Sakurai lazy is just acting like a spoiled child.

My thoughts written from another about the pathetic way smash bros has been advertised.

Two-thirds of adults in the US and UK say they receive too many digital marketing promotions and are exposed to too many ads, according to a survey released in February 2012 by Upstream, conducted by YouGov. Marketers beware: consumers will not be shy to act. Two-thirds say they would unsubscribe from a brand’s promotions if they thought the messages they were receiving were too frequent, while 27% in the UK and 20% in the US say they would stop using the brand’s product or service. 37% of UK respondents (and 28% of US adults) would respond negatively to future messages from that brand, and about 1 in 10 would protest on social media sites.

That doesn't really apply to this situation since you have to visit Miiverse or smashbros.com to get the "Pic of the Day". It's entirely voluntary, if you don't make the effort to get the information, you're not bombarded with ads.

In a marketing and professional business sense, his marketing methods have been slimy and devoid of morals regarding the customers. Lost respect for his brand, view post above.

No new characters, the leak back in august was it... After unlocking rob you unlock all star mode, with a message saying all characters have been unlocked, now the real fight begins...
Saw it on a stream.. Let the hype die.. Sakurai sucks.

Hey now. Just because Mewtwo and Ridley wasn't in, doesn't mean you have to act grumpy

But if Ice-Climbers is not in Wii U because of 3DS limitations then you can freak out a little.

Well, that seems to be the only logical explanation as to why the Ice Climbers aren't in Smash WiiU, no? :S

Wow, dude. You aren't forced to look at anything Sakurai shows you. If you've lost respect for his brand, that's great, no need to be a dick about it to others. Your arguments for why he's a scuzball don't really hold water. You're just attempting to make people upset. You didn't ask for those characters, but certainly other people are excited for them. If you like the Zelda way of advertising, don't watch Nintendo directs, don't visit this website, and don't look at the pic of the day. You'll be super surprised once the game is released.

I bet the Wii U would sell more than 15M LTD by the end of 2015. He bet it would sell less. I lost.

Conveniently, you can see a Doctor for that cough.

No idea if he went to med school though...

I personally wouldn't trust Dr. Mario. No special reason, I just wouldn't!

Hi, im new to this forum ;--p hehe.. I tend to express my opinions a bit exagerated and dramaticly at times, just my astrological signature or whatever ;--p dont wanna ruffle any feathers, but i find if you express your point of views directly without sugarcoating them, it tends to be more i teresting.. Bummed cus snake, ice climbers, wolf and sometimes lucas tended to be my mains in brawl (completely honest) and the only newcomers i find kinda interesting are bowser jr, mega man.  Aaaaaand, thats about it.. Im from norway, greetings :---)
