We already have regular Mario but I guess Paper Mario's moveset could be pretty cool. Still, I'd prefer Vivian first.

Exactly, and besides i meant realistically! Everybody entitled to their opinions though. My favorite partner Is Vivian though, i hope they have some type of inclusion for the game :)

Just made my final top 10 newcomer list today (most realistic) and paper mario is amoung the top  

Vivian would be awesome, she was my favorite partner in TTYD as well, and I almost teared up when I found out my cousin's first child was to be named Vivian...he didn't what know what TTYD was but who cares.

I don't know if we'll get a PM rep, but I wouldn't put it past Sakurai to put some of the partners as assist trophies. Vivian could light all enemies on fire. Flurrie could unleash a gust. Bob-berby could unleash a massive explosion. Parakarry (going to the original game name) could ricochet around the screen hitting opponents, and etc. etc.

As always, it just depends on Sakurai.

So guys we come a long way and about a year ago (if not already a year) we had sad news the roster wasnt going to expand and might be alot of veteran cuts. Im glad sakurai and the team is doing well!

So how it looks so far overall

Smash 64 - 12 Newcomers [12 Playable Characters]
Melee - 14 Newcomers [26 Playable Characters]
Brawl - 18 Newcomers [39 Playable Characters]
Smash 4 - 11 Newcomers [36 Playable Characters]

Of course technically Smash 4 has 13 Newcomers as Mii's play differently from one another and then you can add alternate skins (femle/male counterparts) for a bigger number but we'll exclude that.

Still missing a good amount of veterans. Cant wait. 42-44 roster (from way back) looking like a 45 minimum now :)

Yay, Paper Mario representation at last! Hopefully, the Ultra Shroom makes a cameo at some point.

that's interesting that Brawl only has 11 newcomers so far. Makes me wonder how many are really left to reveal. I'd be very surprised if there wasn't at least 15 newcomers (going off of what was said previous with the Mii's only counting as one0.
